SHOP THE POST
A lesson learned the hard and expensive way. Don’t ever just run in to Whole Foods with the intent to pick up just a few things. You will leave there with a food from the hot counter that costs you $30 per take-out box no matter how much you try to give yourself the smallest serving of each dish. It’s ridiculous, $30 for macaroni for the girls. I thought it was going to be closer to $10. Apparently I am poor judge of weight :/ That is what I get for trying to avoid the Walmart crowds.
Have you seen the new Aladdin movie yet? We haven’t gone yet, but I am interested in taking them soon. I’ll probably just wait for the cheap ticket day, and we will go to a matinee. It’s so much nicer having an empty theatre.
As you can see, I am getting a lot of wear from my new (ish) Everlane Day Glove flats. I love them and they are so comfortable. I am super stoked that I actually bought them, because I think they will get tons of wear into the summer since I don’t wear sandals every day.
I would like them in nude and black too, and did you see they just released a new style called The Day Glove Reknit? Each pair is made from 8 plastic bottles, but yet they have this cool, ribbed, knit design. I am in love with the yellow pair. Yellow is such a good shoe colour.
Tom had to work today so we were kind of just puttering around doing some errands so that I can avoid it this week. There is lots of rain in the forecast and I hate carrying packages home in the rain……even though I love walking in the rain. Which reminds me that I need to get Merle some new rain boots, because she has officially grown out of hers. Why are kids so expensive? 🙁
My rainboots are also starting to wear at the bottom (I bought them 5 years ago) and once they wear through I think I want to replace them with a shorter version. I love my current red pair, but since I am 5’3″ they hit me right at my knee cap and look weird (or at least I feel like they do). I think I would like the mid version or even the bootie. If my feet were one size smaller I could get away with the big kids size, so if you wear a 6 or 7 womens you can probably fit the largest kids size and save some money. Also, check out this Pride pair.
I can’t believe it’s 9pm already. Thankfully I did all of my laundry yesterday, so I don’t have to stay up late waiting to transfer everything to the dryer.
Quick question. My vacuum is on its last legs. It makes a horrible sound when you use the beater bar part, and it doesn’t seem to be picking up as well as it used to. I am looking for an upright model this time because we have a canister and it just seems take up so much room. If you have any recommendations for one that doesn’t break the bank I would love to hear them. Thanks.
