SHOP THE POST

Well, it never fails, I am sick again. I wasn’t even 100% over the first cold and now I have a fever, dry cough, and stuffed sinuses. Only this time I seemed to have bypassed the sore throat part which is awesome.

I swear this happens every winter, the crowds and germs bowl me over and I end up contracted something back to back.

There was a year where I was sick I think for at least two months and of course, working retail you are subjected to immense amounts of germs daily. I think my coworkers and I just kept giving each other things.

It hung around until Tom and I went to Barbados that January. It was almost like instantaneous healing. I assume it was a combination of the sun, being away from large crowds and the humidity (made the cough go away).

I wouldn’t be surprised this time around that it was something contracted from The Dr Seuss Expereince last weekend. So many kids doing so many gross things.

At least I am hungry which is hopefully a sign that this will pass quicker than last time.

I haven’t even figured out what we are going to have for Christmas dinner yet. I thought I was ahead of the game this year, but apparently I’m further behind than I have ever been.

I am debating whether or not to blog the rest of the week or take it off. I am leaning towards not. December is my lowest traffic month anyway, so it makes sense.

I am going to try and wrap a few more presents before I settle myself to bed at a decent hour, with my heated blanket and my humidifier. I hope to hell I feel marginally better in the morning.

Merry Christmas to you and yours! Have a great holiday week.

  1. Merry Christmas and happy take-a-rest-from-blogging, etc. for the year. Here’s to your speedy recovery so that you can actually enjoy the rest of the holiday season. Thank you for all of the wonderful posts and your stylish self. Cheers with hugs, Ardith

    • Merry Christmas to you and the mister as well Ardith. It was a long week, and it almost feels like January already. Both girls caught what I had so we have all bee sick this past week. Tom never catches anything so he made it through unscathed 😉

I’m actually starting to feel more human today aside from the nagging cough that always manages to hang on for weeks after. But I feel like I might actually accomplish my to-do list this week before everything goes back into normal mode on Monday.

I hope you had a great holiday. Happy New Year!

      Sara
