Well thank goodness for the long weekend because I totally wouldn’t have finished this post today. Also, I thought I had finished my Easter shopping on Thursday but I forgot to figure out what we are having for Easter dinner. Blah. I hate cooking meals like this, I hate cooking in general but big meals extra suck.

Does anyone have any recommendations for vacuums? We bought ours last year and it seems to be not working already. I totally should have read the reviews before buying it because the issue seems to be a common complaint. I don’t want one that breaks the bank, but one that will work for both carpets and hardwood. It’s only 650 sqft in here so we don’t need something huge because there is no place to put it. Bagless preferably since finding replacement bags can be a pain in the ass. Thanks 🙂

First off we went to see A Wrinkle in Time and it was really good. There were some changes and modernization but all in all they stuck to the book and it was nice and inspiring. Not a fluff movie and I hope that girls watch it and are inspired too.

I am feeling yellowish at the moment because I am impatiently waiting for the daffodils and tulips to start poking through. I need some colour outside. I made no new purchases this week…..well, except for my Estee Lauder Doublewear foundation from Sephora. I always cringe at the price but it’s the only foundation that I have ever tried that stays on my face all day. I really love it. I even got my mom using it. Yesterday I had several Asos jumpsuits in my basket but I didn’t go through with any of the purchases because the exchange rate pisses me off, so back to the drawing board 😉

Side note: I am still waiting for the purse I ordered to come into stock. It’s driving me nuts and I should have bought it straight from the retailer instead of preordering through Revolve. It serves me right for trying to save money on shipping.

I threw in some Saint Patrick’s day (green shoes) and Ides of March pieces today for some fun, although I really want that pencil holder. I think Roo might have successfully finished cleaning her room this week. It only took how long? Now I am going to get to making that Star Wars Duvet for her from the Pottery Barn sheets I was able to score from Ebay on discount. I just need to iron them, but the problem is that I don’t have an ironing board. How does one iron a gigantic sheet without an ironing board? Any ideas?

I had another Zara return today :/ Not one item from the last four online purchases have worked out for me and it’s getting ridiculous. I truly thought that this dress was going to be a winner but it just didn’t look right on me, so I am a little disappointed. I’ll keep looking because I really want a few more dresses for the summer time. Have you found any good ones lately?

I was pretty proud of myself this week for eating well and not getting take out then BAM Friday night comes. I was returning some really bad jeans (I am striking out left right and centre in the jean department at the moment) and it was around half past 4. I had no idea what to make for dinner and then BAM again, I walked past Taco Bell. Now I feel guilty and have probably had a years worth of sodium in that one meal.  I could have bought a bunch of groceries for the cost of dinner :/ All I can do is to try again next week I guess.

How did I not know that there was a Broadchurch season 3? I’m fairly certain that I said that about season 2 as well, but at least I have something to watch over the next few days. Next week is “March Break” and I put that in quotations because I homeschool the kids and don’t usually follow the same holiday patterns as the public school system but we need a little break. Some time to get refreshed and prepared for spring. I always laugh when I see this meme though because it is so true in my house.

I little weekly update of how my working-out is doing. I had three days of exercising and three days of walking over 10,000 steps which I am surprised I achieved. As of today I actually have felt pretty good this week. I don’t know if it is because I have kicked that cold that was hovering around or if the new “fitness regime” is starting to show some positive effects. I would like to think it is the latter.

H&M released their new Studio Line this week and there were some really fantastic pieces in it. As per usual when they release a new line, many of the pieces sold out quickly but there are still many to be had. If I had an extra $200 kicking around this week, this is the piece I would have bought. I love it, and it’s reversible which doubles its greatness.

The final book in one of my favourite series (by one of my favourite authors) comes out on Tuesday.  I will be sitting on my device at midnight on Monday night to waiting for it to come out on iBooks (I’d wait for Kindle but their new releases don’t come out until 2 or 3am in my time zone). Then I am cancelling Tuesday so I can spend the day reading 😉 I really do wish I could cancel the day. My game plan is to read it through once really quickly, and then read it again immediately but in a slower pace so I can savour it. The speed read is because I really have to know what happens. I have waited over a year and it’s driving me nuts.

I’ve felt under the weather for the past two weeks. One day I have a bit of a sore throat with a slight cough the next it’s gone but I still feel off. Then it comes back again. I wish it would go one way or the other just to get it over with, but I guess it’s just the time of year.

Madewell is having a sale with and extra 30% off sale items with the code META30 so half of today’s clothing picks are from there. There are some nice dresses and jumpsuits listed that would be great for spring. All the snow melted this week so I am keeping my fingers crossed that spring hits early this year. I’m not holding my breath but I am sure as hell looking forward to seeing a little bit of green poking through the ground.
