Capsule Wardrobe

It is said that fashion is a mirror of society, reflecting cultural shifts, economic conditions, political movements, technological advancements, and even environmental concerns.

This week is a bit different from previous capsule wardrobes in the sense that it is focusing primarily on what I have in my wardrobe, or is on its way to me.

There is something about spring that makes me want to dress like I have joined the rowing team at Harvard. I actually think I would be better at fencing, but I digress.

There are two kinds of people when it comes to spring fashion. Those who look forward to the influx of bright colours, pastels, florals, and sandals. And those who view spring as the plank they are forced to walk, towards the season they dislike the most.

I realized that I haven’t consistently put together an over 40 wardrobe. This is because it feels natural and day-to-day for me. As a result, I tend to not think of it as a niche.

I went to the mall yesterday to drop off some Poshmark packages I sold and I noticed myself not wanting to go into most stores. I will usually do a quick walk through all my usual hits, plus more just to check things out.
