When you think of a minimalist capsule wardrobe your mind usually goes to a beautiful set of neutrals, clean lines, simple silhouettes, subtle accessories, and no patterns, but I like to try to step outside the box.

During every fashion week, there is always that standout show that gets everyone excited and buzzing. For the fall/winter 2024 fashion season, it was the Chloé show which was the successful debut for Chemena Kamali.

I wanted to focus on building a fall capsule wardrobe for women over 40 this week. There seems to be an outdated mindset that once women reach a certain age they should dress a specific way. Or better yet, stop dressing a specific way.

Is it possible to have a minimalist fall capsule wardrobe without sacrificing style and personality? The simple answer is yes.

Yes, 90s minimalism is still here and it isn’t going anywhere. It has been said that fashion trends are often a reflection of the times, influenced by historical events, cultural shifts, and societal changes. A lot is going on in the world right now and fashion is going through a season of understatement.
