SHOP THE POST

I was strolling through Anthropologie and there is a definite Christmas vibe going on. I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty excited about that.

My absolute favourite time of the year is from November right through to after New Years. The atmosphere, smells, the decorations, and the weather are amazing.

Although it kind of goes to shit after that when the winter doldrums begin to strike.

The order for boots that I was so excited to find on flash sale and order last week got cancelled. I’m pretty disappointed because I have wanted some slip-on, slouchy style boots in that colour for probably about 10 years now.

That was the first time that I found a pair that ticked every box and didn’t cost $800. Sigh. Back to the drawing board, I guess.

No new apartment yet which sucks. I have a feeling that we won’t be going anywhere until after Christmas now because honestly, who wants to move during Christmas?

And let’s not even get started on the extra expenses during the most expensive time of year. Although I am still holding on to hope about the first one we saw.

Weekly Reads (and maybe videos):

Yo-Yo Ma Tiny Desk Concert.

H.G. Wells’ The War of the Worlds Becomes a New BBC Miniseries Set in Edwardian England. Interesting. This will be on my watch list.

Where to shop online that isn’t Amazon.

The folding mechanism of a ladybug’s wings. This is awesome.

  1. Thank you, Sara, for this cool finds post…especially the War of the Worlds miniseries alert. I LOVE the concept of placing it in Edwardian England. Hope you all are having a great weekend. The weather is finally beautiful and mild here. Cheers, Ardith

    • Thanks Ardith! I’m pretty stoked about that show too. I swear I run out of things to watch regularly so I am always on the lookout. I’m also picky so that doesn’t help. I’m glad to see that the heat is finally gone. It’s pretty nice here too if you like cooler days. I love having to wear a light jacket though. I could easily move some place where I had to wear a coat 365 days a year and I would never complain. Rain and light snow are my favourite weather.
