So who is super thrilled about the news of Yersinia Pestis, the pneumonic plague?

It is no secret that the Middle Ages is my favourite time period; I love The Doomsday Book (which I talked about last week), and I am obsessed with the Great Courses lecture The Black Death: The World’s Most Devastating Plague.

I have probably watched that lecture 7 times, and my youngest also loves it and has watched it multiple times as well.

So that makes me somewhat well-versed on the topic, and it’s really not the way that I want to depart this earth. I am really not keen on it coming back, especially the pneumonic version. This is so not cool, and I absolutely did not have this on my catastrophic world events Bingo card.

But I should have known better. It’s how Resident Evil began.

It is probably time for a rewatch. I highly recommend it (not Resident Evil, the Black Death Lectures). I wonder what Professor Dorsey Armstrong is thinking about this news. She would probably tell me to step away from the computer, and I would totally agree with her.

Change of subject now to something more fun like this jacket. I love a toggle button so much. How are we feeling about the return of camo pants?

If I am being honest, I have never had a pair. I did search for some men’s bermuda-length camo shorts this past summer, but I didn’t have any success.

I am currently trying to find a women’s torso mannequin with arms and a blank-faced head. As you probably already know, we are weird, and I do have a few mannequins already in our home.

Two full-sized ones, a head/bust, and a man’s and a woman’s foot for hosiery and footwear. They kind of just hang out in the house in their places. But the torso is what I am looking for when I am selling clothes.

I could dress the full-size mannequins, but honestly it takes way too long to do it, and they are better suited for store and window displays, not changing their outfits every two minutes for photos.

The torso makes more sense, but I am not finding much. I might try to see on Kijiji or Facebook Marketplace because you often see stuff like that for sale when businesses move or close.

I need to up my photo game because the flat lays aren’t my favourite even though they are easy. Seeing it on a body helps people visualise the fit.

I did sell some shoes today, and when I went to box them up, I couldn’t find my packing tape. No one will admit they took it, so either they did and they are lying/don’t remember, or I just put it someplace stupid.

The latter seems like the most logical answer.
