I went on a little adventure today, not purposely. The destination part was intentional, but the “adventure” was not a good time.
My health card needed renewal, and the closest Service Canada is about 3 kms away. It was beautiful today, so I mapped it out, and it said about 45 minutes walking.
I figured I would head out early and make my way over there on foot.
What I didn’t take into account was that the main route is heavily under construction, which was completely blocking off access to certain areas, and many parts were not safe for foot traffic.
I ended up detouring way out of the way, adding another 30 minutes to my walk and ended up in areas I have never even seen before.
The walk was long, but I made it. I am sure my health card photo is going to be glorious with my wind-blown hair and shiny face from stress sweating.
On the way home, I decided to cut through the suburbs, which was so much more straightforward and an easier walk by a long shot. The scenery is kind of boring, but there were a few houses with some fun Halloween decorations to look at.
Next time I know the way to go, though. I should have gone that way to start. My hips are aching now, unsurprisingly.
I found some good stuff this week, guys. It was like a collection of things that I wanted to “add to cart”. First, this awesome Y2K clutch. The shape, the print, the buckles.
The whole thing is perfect.
How about this 90s patchwork jacket? It just really caught my eye. I left it open in a tab and kept coming back to it to see if I liked it as much, and yep. There is something about it that is fun and interesting.

Y2K Clutch | 90s Patchwork Jacket
These boots are the solid black version of the ones that I have, which are animal print on the triangular toe area with red stitching.
These are a bit more edgy minimalist in the solid black, and I like them.
This jacket. That is all I have to say about it, really. It is just the perfect little fall jacket.
Throw it on over anything.

Isabel Marant Boots | Animal Print Jacket
Friends, look at this bag with the embossed skulls. If this were Poshmark Canada I would be all over this one. It is so Alexander McQueen coded.
The prettiest little delicate semi-sheer, silk skirt by DKNY. Pair this with tights or leggings/stirrups for a fun contrast, and wear a long T-shirt or oversized sweater with it to cover any parts you don’t want seen through the fabric.

Leather Skull Tote | Semi Sheer Silk Skirt
This 90s crushed velvet camisole reminds me of the burgundy crushed velvet bodysuit I had in 1994 that I wore with my dad’s worn-in Levi’s. I loved that bodysuit.
One thing on my want list is silver footwear.
I love the more crackly/distressed look to this loafer because it tones down the intensity of the silver, which can be very bright, sometimes too much (for me) depending.

DKNY Crushed Velvet Cami | Silver Loafers
These cords. Wide-leg with a red ribbon insert down the sides.
I love them. Camel and red are a very dynamic duo.
Look at these burgundy Prada boots. I am a sucker for a square toe, and these beauties caught my eye.

Elbow patch sweaters. I can’t get enough of them. This Ralph Lauren version is a wool and cashmere blend. I love the look of the stripes contrasting the elbow patches.
So something that I have been searching for a lot lately is vintage silk and/or velvet scarves with fringe.
I just really love that artsy cool vibe of one of these haphazardly hanging around your neck.
The floral print on this one is beautiful. I believe it is 100% silk.

Striped RL Sweater | Silk Fringe Scarf
Purple is the colour of the season, so if you want to jump on the trend before everyone else, a great way to start is by accessories like these gloves.
Coloured leather gloves/driving gloves are also very on trend right now.
Yep, another velvet jacket. I have been thinking about these, especially the smoking jacket styles, for a very long time.
I had an Etsy gift card I needed to use, so I decided on the one I had been revisiting for a long time. I feel like it might skew a bit large, but oh well.
It is quite literally everything that I was looking for in one.

Vintage Purple Gloves | Velvet Blazer
How beautiful is this long coat with the faux fur trim? It has one of those styles that could fit into many different fashion eras. It definitely would make a great statement jacket for fall and winter.
I gasped when saw this last one.
I mean, just look at it. The colours and the shape are stunning. STUNNING. I love how they put a mask on the mannequin, because it gives it such a mysterious vibe.
This jacket is ridiculous in the best way possible, and if you end up getting it, I will be very envious.

Faux Fur Trimmed Coat | Silk Brocade Jacket
That is it for tonight, friends.
I think I might actually go to bed early for the first time in a long time. That adventure wiped me out. I clocked 25K steps today, which I haven’t done in a very long time.
My sore feet and butt muscles say goodnight.
