I am really batting a thousand this week with having items in stock that I am wearing. But that is what happens when you aren’t constantly buying new things to refresh your wardrobe, and a lot of what you already own is preloved to begin with.

So it is not a bad thing.

When I am putting these together, I try to search and see if I can find any of those older items in the secondhand market to share with you instead, but I am not always successful.

Some things are hard to find. Like those Isabel Marant boots.

I’m not sure why those are so hard to find. I set up notifications on various apps like eBay, Gem, and Vestiaire for these items so I can catch them if they become available, which can be helpful but isn’t guaranteed.

I like to believe it is because people are holding onto their items longer, and not purging every season (That is me trying to be positive).

It is so windy and rainy right now, and I heard a really loud metallic thud from outside, which freaked me out because it was a similar sound to when the man jumped off the roof a couple months back.

Which it obviously wasn’t. But my brain went there instantly, and my stomach dropped as I ran to the window.

I’m not sure what it was, but I think the sound was intensified because I have the balcony door open a bit since the temperature is cooler and I want some fresh air circulating.

It almost feels like early fall, but I know not to be fooled and that some of the hottest days are still coming, but so is Spirit Halloween.

Bright sides.

But for now it is a nice break from just having the air conditioning on.

There isn’t much else to say. I was working on Poshmark, and my secondhand finds post this weekend. I’m bored with TV and need to find a series to watch that will keep my interest.

I’ve just been listening to audiobooks instead, but my ears need a break from wearing headphones.

I might just rewatch North of North (again) because I love that one. I can’t wait for season two. If you haven’t watched it, I highly, highly recommend it.

It is wholesome, funny, and the landscape and clothes are beautiful.

Before I sign off, I wanted to thank someone.

When I was going through my emails this weekend, I saw one from PayPal saying “You’ve Got Money”.

At first I thought it was one of those spam emails, but when I checked my PayPal account, there was a transaction with a really nice little note telling me to buy something that I had my eye on and to wear it with massive joy.

It made me cry. It was so kind and so generous of you. I know that you couldn’t possibly know this, but my 47th birthday is coming up this week on the 6th.

I had already accepted that it would be as disappointing as it has been for the last 20+ years. I have learned not to have expectations; otherwise I’ll just be sad, so seeing this was a wonderful gift.

You truly made this a good birthday, so thank you, Gretchen. It meant more to me than you can imagine.
