I found some good stuff tonight. My wish lists keep getting longer and longer. Before I jump in, I want to share that the next Banana Republic Archive drop is coming on the 24th.
Things go quickly when they drop, so if you are interested in late 90’s and early 00s vintage Banana Republic, then this collection might have some great things for your wardrobe.
It is worth checking out anyway, because I guarantee they have an amazing collection.
Okay, let’s dive into it.
I have been searching out silk lately and came across this dress, which might be a vintage nightgown. But it is also a really thick, quality silk, which makes more sense as a dress.
Anyway, I love the gold colour and thick straps. It’s a beautiful piece.
Vintage pearl necklaces are always on my “keep an eye out for” list. The statement clasp is what makes this one stand out.

If you are unfamiliar with Kayu they make very beautiful handcrafted clutches and bags like this raffia one. Check out the stunning blue lining.
Something about this cow brooch stole my heart. I think because of the quirky modernist look. It kind of reminds me of a cow that a kid would draw, and I love it.

Ok, while this whole look is amazing, the listing is just for the dress which is also pretty amazing on its own. If you haven’t heard of Martine Sitbon, now you do, and you can now search the wonderful pieces that are out there.
She has been designing since the mid 70s, but her first collection under her own name came out in 86.
We see them everywhere, but how about an actual Y2K silk and lace camisole? Tops like this were my staple in the early 00s.
Those were the days I could go without a bra, and everything stayed up. I miss that ability.

Oof. This Anna Sui sheer and lace blouse is a dream. A seriously beautiful piece.
How about a vintage Moschino tweed jacket? We all know how much I love a vintage tweed jacket. And that little flower accent is the perfect touch.

Two pairs of vintage pants that scratch two different itches.
First is the black leather pants itch. These are Wilson’s, which makes quality leather pieces. The other is the statement pants with these Y2K snake print pair.
If I had to pick only one, I don’t know if I could.

Issey Miyake’s Pleats Please brand is iconic, like this grey turtleneck shirt. It is such an interesting yet minimalist piece.
How about this Coach bag that is dark green pony hair? The colour is stunning, and the listing says the bag is y2k.
I am terrible at dating Coach pieces, so I will go by what they say, but if you really want to know, you can usually figure it out by the serial number, I think.

Another Issey Miyake piece is this skirt with the mesh insert when you unzip it. It is so interesting and that bit of mesh gives it a sporty vibe.
I don’t even know if this next piece is a shirt or a jacket. I am leaning into shirt. It is silk in an olive green with an electric blue colour and cuffs.
For some reason it reminds me of the Tom Ford Gucci era silk tops.

These Gucci Princetown mules stole my heart, seriously, I really like these. The Gucci Mystic Cat print is one of my favourites.
And lastly are these vintage Prada platforms. I lived in sandals like this in the early 00s. Like, lived in them so much that people thought I was actually tall. It was always a surprise when I took them off and instantly became short.
Mine were obviously not Prada, because I would not have even known where to buy Prada platforms back then. I was too broke and lived in a small city. This is why I love online shopping.
It gives you access to things you never would have access to.

And before I sign off, I am going to share this one last piece. It is a small, pony hair wristlet style small bag by Giorgio Armani and is perfect.
Okay, that is it, friends.
My goal for the rest of the summer is to focus on secondhand instead of new, and really try to bring in some amazing pieces for fall.
Because yes, I am thinking about my fall wardrobe. My summer one can limp by as is.
