I saw a male Instacart shopper in the wild today, and I feel like I am equipped to pass judgment. While he was working really fast, it seemed to come at the expense of quality and detail.
He was picking up some strawberries and just grabbed one, scanned it, and tossed it in the cart, when we all know that when buying berries, it is important to check and make sure they aren’t rotting or mouldy.
So that was one thing that I saw off the top of my head. I wasn’t going to follow him around because that is super creepy, but we did end up in the cookie aisle at the same time.
He was looking at the shelves, and I heard him say double-stuffed, then he said nope, and grabbed the Oreo chocolate mint flavour.
There were, in fact, many double-stuffed, as I bought some myself. I can’t rate the rest of his shop, but I assume it was similar to the many experiences when the shopper is a man.
They really need to do something about that. I once ordered 4 ears of corn. They were 25 cents each, as they usually are in summer, and I ended up with 4 massive bags instead. It was insane.
That is a lot of fucking corn.
I sold something on Poshmark yesterday, and I was congratulating myself for finding it quickly and getting it packed up to ship, and when I was rushing down to drop it off today before they closed, I realised it was not a Canada Post label, but Purolator, and my closest drop-off isn’t open on Sundays.
I really thought that I was getting myself ahead of the game, so I wouldn’t have to go out tomorrow. I should know better.
Oh well, at least while I was out I got to window shop. I really like the weird shape and visible stitching on this blazer. And why am I really feeling floral print pants? And the men’s department kept trying to convince me that I needed this shirt.
And by convince me, I mean I kept circling back to look at it and got a panicky feeling when it looked like someone was going to buy my size.
Anyway, obviously I didn’t buy it, but I want it, but I am saving for a vintage trench coat instead…which will probably sell out on me, but one can hope.
I also want to share a chuckle before I go. The number of people that unsubscribed from my blog after I posted the Séance fall wardrobe was astronomical, and it is so funny.
Besides the fact that it quite literally has nothing to do with an actual Séance…although I would love to attend one.
Apparently I must be some kind of devil worshipper that snuck under their radar. I always thought I was really clear with the fact that I am an atheist.
I am not religious in any way at all, but I believe in ghosts and spirits. The concept of Satan comes from traditional monotheism, which I am not a part of. It means nothing to me, and I do not believe in either god or satan.
So thank you for the laugh after a shitastic week; I needed it.
