Weekly Secondhand Finds (Vol. LXXII)

A white background with a collection of 24 finds from the past week.

It was a warm one today, which is making my apartment really, really hot. Currently, the thermostat says that it is 28°C in here, and that is with the sun set.

It is very uncomfortable, and I haven’t felt like getting dressed, which is why there have been no outfits so far this week.

The heat makes me miserable.

The people replacing the weather stripping on the building’s windows came by today to do our balcony windows, and in the process, their ladder knocked one of our glass partitions and broke it.

So currently it is boarded up with caution tape until they repair it.

He knocked on the balcony door to tell me, and I think he thought I was going to yell. Like, I literally don’t care.

Accidents happen, and we barely go on there. As long as it is blocked off and I don’t fall off, I am good.

If you saw my Instagram stories today, I talked about ShopMy and how it has a very liketoknow.it style shopper app now.

And if you sign up on there and add me to your circle, you will get some insight into what direction I am taking my posts each week, because I save almost everything there.

So if you did follow me on there, you might have already seen the preloved items that I have in tonight’s post.

Starting with these Staud boots.

Besides the colour, I am very much a fan of a heel in this shape. I would consider these a classic boot you will wear for many years.

This gold-ish bronze bag gives me a lot of Y2K vibes. I am very much into the Y2K style bags at the moment, and I love how this is like a moto style but yet also a hobo.

Staud Boots | Gold bag

Okay, so these two are my favourites.

This first one isn’t even vintage; it’s older. I’m pretty sure it is considered antique by now, but it is an Art Deco beaded bag, and the colours and pattern are so good.

This is like the little handbag that you wear with everything to make your outfit spectacular.

This Napolean jacket also has coattails, so it is a hybrid of my favourite pieces at the moment.

If you look at it and it says that it is in a cart already, that cart is mine.

You can’t see it in the photo, but this khaki greenish blazer has a snake print on it. I love the tuxedo-style collar and the fitted waist.

Okay, so this next one, you need to picture my vision, stick with me.

Apron belts are very in right now to wear loosely over jeans and trousers with a t-shirt haphazardly tucked in.

This is technically a mini skirt, but it has that apron belt look to it, so I would wear this over jeans and trousers.

I am drawn to the minimal look of this silk tunic shirt. The colour is great, and the side slits give it movement.

As you know, I am very into paint-splattered clothes, and when I saw this Moschino shirt, I immediately wanted it.

It has been customised by an artist, and I think it would have a truly special place in your wardrobe.

Both of these next pieces are sheer, and I don’t do sheer.

At least not in the “see my bra and underwear” kind of sheer. What I would do is layer these over something.

Like this dress is stunning, and I would wear it over a slip or slip dress, maybe silk pants, or how about over jeans and a tank or cami for a truly fabulous look.

The skirt, I would build similar layered looks. But most likely would just wear an opaque slip under it. Trial and error with the colours to see what looked best.

It has that designer-look-for-less vibe.

Sheer Black Dress | Sheer Midi Shirt

This is truly a stunning statement necklace.

It says it is from the 90s and just pairing it with the most simple peices would be extraordinary.

This little velvet cropped jacket is another of my favourites.

It is black with mustard/gold and has structured shoulders. It is the season of statement jackets/blazers paired with minimal outfits.

If I had to wear jeans and a t-shirt every day, I could easily do so as long as I had a variety of lightweight jackets.

Did I share this vintage tailcoat already?

Sometimes it is hard to keep track. It is a vintage Dior, and feels like it would fit a woman’s large. Check the measurements though.

I am a sucker for cropped sweaters, and/shrugs and I love this vibrant red one by Donna Karan.

I would layer it over t-shirts, sleeveless dresses, tank tops, and camisoles.

Which reminds me to go find my green one.

And finally we have some pretty fabulous zebra print loafers that are very close to the ones that I have.

I love the instant cool factor that these shoes add to your outfit. So much visual interest.

Lastly, we have some black leather flats with a pretty damn fun silver piercing in the vamp area. I love a shoe with a piercing.

That is it for this week.

Now I am going to go melt in my hot apartment because there is no air conditioning yet.
