Any time I go into Zara with a return, I probably look super sketchy because I walk around the desk area trying to be all nonchalant while I take note of who is working the counter.
I hate using the return kiosk because it takes so much longer to process a return, and there are a few cashiers who will refuse to return and tell you to use the kiosk, and others who give no shits and will just do the return for you at the counter.
So I sketch around until I see one I know will return for me. I hate being a creeper.
Lots of good stuff is coming through there right now, though, which both makes me happy and sad that I don’t have any disposable income to partake in the new arrivals.
I’ll survive.
Although apparently we need new tires on the car, so maybe I won’t survive.
I had the intent to crawl into bed early tonight to read a book and enjoy the rain, and yet here I am at 1:30 in the morning still finishing this.
Did you see the capsule post from yesterday that is rooting for the messy girl summer? I’m really feeling it and own a few of the pieces from the capsule.
Even the satin Bermudas, which I was excited about, and I never get excited about wearing shorts.
I saw a similar silk pair from Reformation that I loved which I talked about last week, and they were going to be around $300 Canadian, so I had to wipe that idea from my mind.
These are a good alternative. Nice and thick so you don’t have to worry about sheerness, and they hit past my knee, which is all I ever ask for in shorts.
The sizes are going quickly, as they tend to do at Aritzia with items like that.
I included a short pair in the roundup because I loved the colour and the concept behind it, even though it won’t work for me.
And I have the green slip dress, which I actually wore earlier in the week (see here). It photographs more of a yellow-ish green, but in person it is a beautiful shade that makes it look vintage.
I think the vibe I am gathering for myself this summer is like silk/satin and lacey, feminine pieces paired with more relaxed, masculine pieces.
Like beat up baggy jeans and a silk and lace camisole, or the satin shorts with an oversized vintage t-shirt kind of idea.
That is my thought process right now anyway.
We will see how it pans out. I might just hibernate for the entire season instead.
