Good evening friends, I am writing from the weirdest January weather with a lot of rain and above seasonal temperatures. I think I get a little more terrified about what we have done to this earth to make her react this way, each day.
Which I guess is apropos since this post is all about secondhand shopping and making more sustainable choices when it comes to our lives, especially our wardrobes.
And surprise, surprise, jackets and blazers galore. I was a little bit on an eBay mission this week, so many of my choices are from there.
So to jump right in we have a vintage Armani brown blazer-ish coat in wool, I believe. I love the shape of this one.
Also, I am a sucker for these 1970s style trench coats with fur collars, but I really don’t like fur, even vintage, so I try to seek out faux like this one.
It reminds me of the one I lived in in the early aughts, but my faux fur collar was stained by pink hair colour. It is so good.

A pair of wide-leg light cream trousers is on my spring wish list, and these ones have a cuff.
I feel like they would fit me based on the measurements, and they aren’t too long which can be a struggle since I hate getting pants shortened.
Next up is a belted animal print coat. I love the different sort of animal print this one has, not just a classic leopard.

There was something about this cardigan-style top that caught my eye. I think it is the asian feel from it with the trim covering the buttons, and making a madarin style collar.
The next trench needs a bit of a dry clean as per what the seller states, but that is okay because it is part of buying secondhand and vintage.
If you are not willing to put in the extra care something may need, then you probably should not buy it. Anyway, I love the light blue and camel colours.
You don’t see this blue-grey colour very often in a trench, but with the contrast, it is stunning.

These 90s Mugler leather pants are glorious. The seller says they are unisex and is a man wearing them, but the label is women’s sizing, so go by the measurements like you would when buying vintage jeans.
I have a thing for hidden wedges right now, and Massimo Dutti has a few pairs of similar boots which are around $300-$400. In comparison theses are a steal and are beautiful.

The tortoiseshell heel on these Ferragamo shoes is incredible. It really makes them so different and interesting.
Fun fact: I love fish. Not to eat, I don’t eat fish or seafood because it makes me gag. But I do love fish as animals, which is why I was drawn to the vintage Koi brooch.
Such a fun piece.

In the early 2000s Uniqlo put out a series of shirts to pay homage to Jean-Michel Basquiat, and this is one of those shirts.
I actually was going to keep this one secret for myself.
The shape of this Furla bag is one that I love. The east-west style in a croc embossed brown leather.

I wish that the seller had taken a front-facing image of this jacket so you could see how great it is. Although they did include a very detailed video, so that was helpful to watch.
The fur lining with the finnel neck and belt closures…yes, please.
Vintage Prada kitten heel boots are always something that I keep an eye out for, especially with this toe shape. They are my size, and I am really trying to ignore that fact.

Check out the shape of this blazer. It is giving Mugler with the strong shoulder and cinched waist, but it is vintage Armani. The stand-up collar makes the piece.
And lastly, we all know I love something that is a bit off the beaten track like this turtleneck shirt that has zippers on the sides, pieces that you zip up the middle to give shape and interest.
I saw a few in different sizes as well.

I also have a bonus one. I saw this after I had almost finished this post. It is like a reverse button-up with some Victorian night gown vibes.
That is it for the night, and it is still raining.
Fingers crossed it doens’t turn to ice again.
