I am not going to complain about the cold because I function better in the winter than the summer, but it’s chilly in my apartment, and I can’t seem to get warm.

A heating pad or electric blanket might be a good purchase, and I am sure the cats would love it. I don’t remember it being this cold in here in previous years.

My nose and fingers are freezing.

I am also a “wear slippers 365 days a year” person, too. It is uncomfortable for me not to wear them, and for some reason, I always seem to stub my toe as soon as I try to walk without them.

So they are protective armour, along with keeping my feet warm. Actually, I am in the market for a new pair because mine from last winter are starting to unravel.

Plus, they have been washed multiple times and aren’t quite the same anymore. Uniqlo has had good ones in the past, so I might check there tomorrow to see what they have in store.

Plus, I want to see if they have this flannel shirt. It says it is in stock at my location, but that is not always the case. I also like the blue.

I have been in the market for an oversized flannel for a while, and the thrift store selections have been abysmal lately.

Also, I love the Uniqlo self-checkouts. Just toss it in the big sink thing, and it tallies it for you without the need to scan anything.

Zara has started to implement those as well, which helps to beat the atrocious, never-ending checkout line there.

I intended to avoid the mall at all costs on the weekends until after Christmas but I have a sweater that is on the last few days of its return window.

Unfortunately, I bought it just before the extended holiday window and had it tucked away, and I kept forgetting about it. This used to be a common thing for me, and I would have to resell it at a big loss.

I’m glad that I got my shit together regarding that because it is flushing money away due to being unorganized, which is ridiculous.

Circling back to the holidays, I am pretty sure the last Christmas gift arrived this morning, so that is satisfying. It is down at the front desk, so I will grab it tomorrow.

In case you missed it, I put together a modern, milder version of indie sleaze yesterday. And I swear the fur coat was 90% all of its sizes in stock when I posted it. Then bam, they were all gone without even a sale going on.

It was weird, and annoying because it was too late to change up the post.

It reminded me of my big wardrobe purge in the mid-2000s, which I will never forgive myself for.
