Weekly Secondhand Finds XLIX

a collage of different types of women's clothing and accessories. All vintage or secondhand.

I thought I was going to get this out a 1 this afternoon, and then I was going to brag about how that is the earliest I have ever finished. That obviously did not work out well.

Optimism is not my forte.

I’m pretty excited about some of these finds, though. A few are actual things I have been hunting for myself, but these ended up not being in my size.

Although that works out for you if it is your size, and you like it.

I have noticed a shift recently. At first, I thought it was maybe an algorithm change on Poshmark, but I don’t think it is that.

It is something I have noticed, but I didn’t know if it was a fluke, so I just paid attention. And now I have seen actual stats and articles written about it, so I know that my thoughts were accurate.

The shift I have noticed is that people are really starting to do “secondhand first”. It is something that I have pushed out to you and what I have tried to slowly shift over to through the years, but I am really seeing it now.

And not like in the fad way it was a few years ago, but in the true “making some serious life changes” kind of way. This is good.

And with that I will begin.

I first thought that this ballet slipper pink ruffle blouse was old Chloe from the 00s, but it is Marni (who I love). I know we aren’t thinking about spring, but what a cute spring-summer shirt.

BUT, you could also layer a black turtleneck under it right now. It would be an all-seasons piece.

I *think* that this blue animal print open front cardigan is my favourite of today.

It is vintage Escada, which is a fantastic brand, but this has so much personality and so much wardrobe potential.

Make it the star and pair it with basics like jeans and a tee or tank top.

I love a good coat, and I especially love a good coat with a large faux fur collar like this Ralph Lauren wool-cashmere blend. It’s vintage, but it looks very 1940s style vintage, even though it is not.

The perfect camel cardigan is something that will never, ever go out of style.

Snake print and I have a love affair, but I really love it when I find snake print in a fun colour like this red shoulder bag tote.

I’m pretty sure that I shared this coat with you on Stories quite a long time ago and it is still available.

It is vintage Moschino in black satin with an animal print lining for a steal. It’s too small for me, otherwise, I would have snatched it for that price.

Remember Diesel? Yeah, well, the younguns love Diesel again, and this vintage leather jacket is a good example of why. It’s perfect.

I don’t know why I have such a weakness for vintage Miu Miu square-toe heels. It has been that way since I first saw them in 1997.

The heels on this particular pair are the perfect walkable height.

Another Ralph Lauren jacket but this time in a denim band style. I love band jackets.

A trench jacket that is even better than a regular trench.

Just look at the unique style of this one. It would be the perfect wardrobe piece to add visual interest.

Tom Ford Gucci is my favourite era, and both of these pieces are from that time.

The shoes are such a classic style and in impeccable condition.

The bag is something that I could see Cartolyn Bessette wearing. It is classic perfection.

I love a pendant that is a substantial size, like this one, which is from around the 1970s. If you are looking for a statement necklace, then this definitely hits the mark.

While I always love animal print shoes, what I really love about these are the little pierced hoops at the toe.

Such an interesting touch that Marni is known for. There is a collection of shoes by Marni that have these hoop accents in varying quantities.

They are so much fun.

And to finish, we have some beautiful leather mules with a warm lining so that they are wearable now.

And this vintage bag from Saks still has the tags. I love it when you find vintage items with the tags still on. It is like a trip back in time.

And this style is very on trend with the calf hair, leather combo in a bowler shape. Paired with the neutral colours, and you’ll have this forever.

I would hate to take the Saks tag off, though, but I would probably keep it stored away for history purposes because that is something that I do.

And that is is for tonioght.

I didn’t do too badly for lateness, even though I was aiming for about 7 hours ago.
