I can’t believe this is already the 50th secondhand finds post. It feels like a big milestone. Congratulations to me for sticking with it.
Secondhand and vintage shopping is actually my passion, and if I could pivot it into a full-time job, I would. I’ll have to think about this.
There are a lot of jackets again this week, maybe because it snowed and is cold in comparison to last week, so I have jackets on my mind.
When you have to cover your outfits with some kind of cold-weather outerwear, then you need to have some options.
Otherwise, you get bored and a little disillusioned with your wardrobe and when you have the winter doldrums, it just seems to make it worse.
Remember last week when I said, “Diesel is back, baby”, and then I shared a vintage brown leather jacket?
Today I have another, but this one might even be better because just look at that neck. I was actually going to gatekeep this one.
Then, with an equally good neckline, in a fabulous cut and colour, it is a Bally jacket. Bally makes incredible leather pieces.

This is the pricey piece of the post, but I had to share because it is a gorgeous jacket. It is Ralph Lauren with a snap neck, asymmetric front zip and cinching buckles at the bottom.
It is pretty iconic.
I am not sure if it is my love for Mary Poppins, or wha,t but I have a thing for carpet bags. This one is a stunning example of that style.

This vintage plaid jacket looks like it walked right off the Boden website. Like, I swear that they had almost this exact same coat last year, except this one is super vintage.
It is amazing.
I would have a large collection of band jackets if that were a realistic option. This Moschino version is pretty fantastic, though. You can never go wrong with black and red.

The little skinny belt and buckles at the neck and the waist are what grabbed my attention with this first jacket.
It is always tiny details like that which make the piece.
I don’t know if this is a jacket or a longline blazer, or both? Whatever it is, I would get a lot of use from this Ralph Lauren version.

These blue calf hair loafers by Celine are on my wish list and of course, they are not in my size.
I don’t see them often, but when I do they will never fit me.
But if you like zebra, then these heeled mules are exceptional. What a great shoe.

Yohji Yamamoto cape is one of my favourites, and this cape is fantastic.
I would wear this over the top of coats and jackets for a statement piece. It is a cooler and more interesting version of a scarf.
I love a substantial necklace like this thick, and chunky one. It is a stunner.

Another great necklace option is this vintage bolo-style, sliding necklace. I am always searching for necklaces in this similar style.
This bicolour Marni bag reminds me of my Dries Van Noten blue and black striped tote. It is a similar size and shape too, which is maybe why I was drawn to it.
Once again, when it is cold and you feel bored in your coat, try fun accessories to add colour or visual interest like this tote.

This might be my favourite of the night.
A vintage Cramps CBGB t-shirt in a fantastic green. Yes please.
Marni always has fun with colours and patterns like this striped sweater. It has a very 70s-early 80s vibe with a touch of Bert and Ernie.
It is a fun piece.

And that is it, friends.
I am still waiting for the vintage Levi’s I ordered last week to arrive. It says tomorrow, but I feel like it will be after that since they are travelling from Malaysia.
I can’t wait to try them on though, and am currently on a deep dive into secondhand Comme des Garçons right now. I am not certain what I am looking for, but I hope it is good.
