My vintage Christian Lacroix red boots arrived today from Vestiaire, and they fit perfectly. They are a size 40, and I usually wear a 39, so I thought they might be a tad big, but they are vintage, and vintage tends to skew small.

I can’t wait to wear them.

I finally got it together and decided on a mirror/jewellery armoire for the girls, and ordered two of these for Christmas. Originally, we had decided on a different model, but the price went back up, so we pivoted.

They arrived within a day and a half and were in large, heavy boxes.

After I dragged them into the apartment, like literally dragged because they were too heavy for me to lift and taller than me, I had the realization that I hadn’t thought my plan through properly.

There is absolutely no place in an apartment this size to stow away and hide two boxes of this size until Christmas, so I had to give them to them early.

Now the girls have jewellery armoires with the gentle reminder that they are technically Christmas gifts. Oops.

On a side note, Wayfair Canada ships really fast, and besides the size, they were packed well, and actually quite easy to put together.

I thought I was going to have Ikea-level building frustrations, but there were no issues.

I have actually never had issues, but this is the first time that I bought something from them that I had to build completely.

And around this exact time two years ago, I bought the cat couch (number 14) for the cats for Christmas, and it is always funny to see them on it.

Especially Toodles, because he stretches out and sleeps on it like a person lying on a couch. Anyway, I saw they still have it available, and we’ve enjoyed it, so I thought I would share.

In case you missed it, I posted an anti-capsule wardrobe for winter yesterday to share my frustrations about dressing the same.

  1. The pigs might fly decor and the librarian post just totally rocked it for me, along with everything else!
