I was going to pat myself on the back for not buying anything this week, but I did. If you follow me on Instagram and saw my stories from a few nights ago, you will see that I bought some vintage Levi’s.
They caught my eye because of the wash and fades. They are one of my favourite worn looks when it comes to jeans, but I have never tried that particular style.
They are 509s, which are a discontinued style, and popular during the 80s and 90s. The 80s, I believe, were orange tag, and then in the 90s, you could get them in the red tag, which is what these are.
And since I have never tried on a 509 before, I don’t know the fit. By the descriptions of what I see online, they are quite similar to a 505, which is my favourite style, they may have a bit looser leg.
They were also 40% off, which is quite the incentive. The inseam is 27.5,” so they will be a cropped length, which will be fun and work well in all seasons with different kinds of footwear.
So excited for these.
I don’t know if you have the same issues as I do when typing on my phone, but the spelling mistakes are so bad when I am typing. Like, not even close to the words I was trying to spell kind of errors.
And today I saw a tip that helps a lot. You just need to turn off “Slide to Type” which is something that is meant for one-handed typing so you can just slide your thumb over and not have to lift.
This causes my issues when it thinks that I am sliding when in fact, I am just trying to get to another letter, and then the spelling mistakes happen.
Anyway, after toggling that off, I have noticed a significant improvement. Go to Settings>General>Keyboard and then toggle off “Slide to Type”. I hope it helps.
In case you missed it I posted a Soft Grunge capsule yesterday, which is like a calmer, more minimal version of grunge. There were some great pieces in there.
Side note: I went into Banana Republic today and saw this sweater, but in cobalt blue. I love this washed purple colour though, but it wasn’t available in-store at my location.
I’m really feeling purple this season.
I also tried on the Fair Isle sweater today that I included in this roundup, which I really liked, but I still haven’t decided if I am a Fair Isle person, so I am going to think about it.
It is true to size, it may even actually skew a bit big. I don’t know what my deal is with Fair Isle. I am really drawn to it, but when I put it on, it doesn’t feel like me.
