I am fairly certain that I panic cleaned today more than I have ever panic cleaned in my life, which isn’t a good thing, but I am as ready as I will ever be for them to come in for the vent and duct cleaning and maintenance tomorrow.
It wouldn’t have been so bad if we had only had the one unit. I could have just done the whole, “hide the stuff in the bedroom” thing, but we have two separate fancoil units.
One in the living room and one in the main bedroom.
It is the yearly maintenance to make sure the system is working well for the upcoming season. Usually, it happens much earlier than this in preparation for summer.
So I guess this will be more for preparation for fall.
Which is on my mind lately. So bear with the leather, suede, and jackets in this post. It was my fixation this week, but if I am being honest it is my fixation all of the cooler seasons.
We see a lot of leather jackets in neutral or deeply saturated colours, but how about something in a bright orange? It definitely would be a detour from the fall neutrals and earth tones.
Kind of like the second jacket is. It is like a taupe, so a cool-based tan and embodies the minimalist aesthetic perfectly.

I am into little shoulder bags lately, like a baguette style.
This first one is a vintage Coach and is perfectly sized.
The second is by Wilsons leather. I love their jackets, but have not really done a deep dive into their bags. The olive colour and size are perfect though.

I was talking last week about looking for vintage Banada Republic because it is great quality. This bag is an example of that.
The croc embossed leather gives it a little bit of edge.
I have amassed a little collection of vintage Ralph Lauren sweaters, and while I do have a grey cotton one, I like the chunkier knot of this cotton version.

This jacket is sleek.
If I were only allowed to pick one jacket for fall, it would probably be one like this because it just works so well for any occasion.
I do have a long black vintage trench coat in black leather, but I think it is too big for me. It is full length, almost to the floor which I like, but the rest of it is too roomy, so I look like I am drowning in it.
I’ll probably sell on Poshmark.
One colour that I notice always draws me in is yellow, so this blouse really caught my eye. The off-centre button front and sideways collar are nice touches.

How good are these vintage Gucci boots?
Visualize them paired with some straight-leg denim for such a simple yet chic vibe. The little horsebit lace fastener is the perfect touch.
Oops. more yellow. In my defence, mustard coloured suede is divine. Who wouldn’t want this?
I also appreciate the belted waist.

This Comme des Garçons striped jacket is very Beetlejuice, or Moira Rose, and I love it.
And now that I am thinking about it, so are these heeled oxfords.

So this green jacket with an attached scarf is so lovely, and I was contemplating it for myself because I really like this style of coat.
Y2K era leather pants with a little flare? It is almost leather pants season, and I just realized that I didn’t actually wear mine much last year.
I am going to have to rectify that this fall.

A great long-sleeved shirt is an integral part of a fall wardrobe and while we usually go for neutral, I always love them in bold colours or prints. So to me, this striped Ralph Lauren is a perfect choice.
Picture it layered under tweed or herringbone. With high waist trousers, and if you are super fun… suspenders.
Vintage Mugler pieces are like a holy grail for me, but I also admire the newer ones like this cutout tank.
It is like the not-so-basic, basic that I am always talking about.
And it isn’t just for summer, you could easily layer this under cardigans or blazers to make it a full wardrobe participant, not just seasonal.

That is it for this week.
I was trying to narrow down my favourite of the week, and I have three. The above Ralph Lauren tee, the black jacket, and I *think* the winner is the perfect pair of little vintage Gucci boots.
They won’t fit me, but I might have to try to find a pair that will.
