I really dove all into fall this week. I couldn’t help it, fall clothing is just so inspiring for me. So this week there is a lot of jackets, knits, and leather.
Plus one book, but we will get to that later.
Chocolate brown suede is like one key fall wardrobe piece that you might want to buy for this season, if you are only buying a couple of things.
It can be anything, shoes, trousers, a handbag, or a jacket like this one below. I have a chocolate brown blazer that I bought secondhand last year, and I really like the full-button-front style.
It is more versatile, I think.
Next is a bed jacket that has such a unique design. It is dated the 1940s, and looks more like a top than something you would wear to bed, which is exactly how I would wear it.
I’ve never seen one quite in this style.

I love to seek out sub-brands of brands that I love.
Especially vintage ones that no longer exist like this coat with the floral lining, which is from the vintage Kenzo Jungle line.
Can you ever go wrong with a brown leather coat? I can imagine this one cinched with a belt.

I love an oversized sweater in a natural fibre; they are a wardrobe staple for any season.
First, we have a soft white vintage Gap sweater in cotton. Vintage Gap is quality, and there is a reason you will see their vintage pieces in immaculate condition on the secondhand market.
The other sweater is 100% linen in a great taupe colour. They both have that strong 90s minimalist feel to them.

The next two are for the bottom half of your outfit.
Leather pants and skirts are my jam, but what I really enjoy is when they are in a colour that differs from the normal black or brown we see.
Maybe try a skirt in a warm-toned white, or pants in red/burgundy. The pants are also Gap, from the days when they had real leather instead of faux.

If you are a fashion enthusiast like me and enjoy fashion history, then this 1980s Banana Republic clothing guide should be added to your bookshelf.
This is actually a much better price than I have seen it for over the past many years. It seems to be well over $100 on eBay and other secondary sites.
Speaking of leather in non-traditional colour, this Marni clutch is in one of my favourite hues of yellow/green. It is a great statement piece.

So these vintage Adidas are definitely on the pricey side, but I had to share them because I have actually never seen a pair exactly like this.
They are a lot of fun.
If you have been paying attention, you might have seen outfits from the new The Devil Wears Prada movie, and in the ones that have been shared, there is a standout item.
Anne Hathaway is carrying a vintage Coach Metropolitan briefcase/satchel bag in black. Because of this, there is now a big interest in scoring one of these bags, and they are starting to get expensive.
I found a version in a brown that is pretty fabulous.

One of my wish list items is a leather skirt or pants in olive or chartreuse green. This skirt is again vintage Gap, and by now, you probably can see what I am talking about when I say that old Gap was quality.
I found this vintage silver perfume bottle necklace.
It is beautiful and has an inscription on the back, which makes it even more special.

These apple green kitten heels scream Y2K and are so fabulous. I want them.
But saving the best for last, since the 90s I have wanted a pair of Miu Miu, square toe, block heel, Mary Janes.
I don’t see them often, but when I do, I find myself pondering what I can sell to finally get myself a pair.
In all my years of looking, I have never seen a pair exactly like these before.

That is it, my friends.
Tomorrow is my birthday, so I wanted to get this out earlier tonight.
Take care.
