Weekly Secondhand Finds XXXIV

a collage of different types of women's clothing and accessories. All vintage or secondhand.

It is probably going to be quite obvious that I am looking forward to fall by my choices this week. They have a very, “let me build my fall and winter wardrobe” vibe, which I am good with since this is the clothing season that brings me the most joy.

A lot can also work as transitional pieces, like this silk dress that is vintage Banana Republic.

Vintage BR truly has some quality, gem pieces, so never scroll past them because you usually don’t shop at Banana Republic.

Because current and vintage BR are in different leagues.

Also, vintage Eileen Fisher. Quality, minimalist pieces like this wool, long sleeve dress. A true classic that you will use season after season.

I am in the process of building up my collection of vintage Ralph Lauren sweaters.

The goal is huge variety of colours. Currently, I have a cobalt blue on the way from Bosnia, but I don’t have a neutral brown like this. Obvioulsy I need to amend that.

Polka dots are huge this season, so grab something polka dot to freshen your wardrobe. It doesn’t have to be new to participate in a trend.

This Max Mara blouse would fit in on any new arrival fashion page.

I’m revealing all the secrets today with what brands I always look for, and here is another.

Wilsons leather. Amazing vintage jackets. This is a classic moto, but they have so many different styles.

Statement necklaces are here to stay like this vintage Ralph Lauren tassel necklace. It gives me 1920s flapper vibes.

I love, love, love a pointy toe flat. If you pair flats with a wider leg denim, it is always fun (and leg lengthening) to have a pointy toe peeking out.

Need a perfect fall boot? Here they are.

They apparently are a deep brown, but the height of the shaft makes them really easy to wear underneath shorter pants.

Cords for fall? Groundbreaking.

But I love them anyway, and these pale sand/bone colour have a great shape to them and a cuff which we all know I love.

This mixed media dress is one of those pieces that grabbed my eye right away. Besides loving mixed media, I really love how this dress absolutely does not look like a dress.

More like a shirt over a skirt. It’s so fun and interesting and would really make a wardrobe. This would be that dress that you pull out for different occasions, and it is a winner each time.

Too early for coats? Never.

These are both by Marni and they are each so very different. I love the red panels on this brown wool jacket. It is the details like that, that make something stand out.

The colour of this green plaid coat is my favourite and with the length and fur collar, this is absolutely something that would be part of my wardrobe.

Both of these would actually fit in quite nicely. Bring on coat season.

Everyone should own one brightly coloured pair of shoes, like these perfect red flats.

Not only is the red vibrant, but it has a square toe which is one of my favourite shoe shapes.

This articulated necklace is from the 1980s and is a stunner. It photographs really well, but it would be great piece to just throw on and instantly your outfit looks magnificent.

It is that good.

And I saved the bags for last again.

I am always searching for green bags, so this one really grabbed me. It has a tiny bit of peeling but the price is great and it is currently on sale for a few more hours. You can’t go wrong with Furla.

Then I found another vintage Coach in a great shape. This one is very boho and would be perfect for your boho summer outfit that carries into fall.

Picture it with flowy blouses, fringe jackets, flared jeans, and suede vests.

That it is for this week.

I hope you enjoy these posts as much as I enjoy finding things for them.
