It is now seasonal transition time for fashion, and you are going to be inundated with sales, so I am going to give you a little tip on how I deal with sale season and sale purchases.
Will power can be minimal during this time, especially if you are stress shopper like me, since the world is so stressful and uncertain right now.
The way I go into sales season is to not look for the best sales, because that can trick you into thinking you need something, but to look at it in a bigger picture.
I tend to try to seek out items that are transferable throughout the different seasons. Not things that I will have to pack away until next year only to pull them out and wonder why I bought them.
This way I will be wearing it immediately and then proceed to wear it as the weather shifts because I already determined how that item was going to work in colder weather.
So even if I buy something like a summer dress, I can build a look with it so that it will be weather appropriate in the fall.
Is this always 100% successful? Obviously not, but it does help me to sit back and think about something before I buy. Even when I am walking around a store.
Note: I included a bucket hat in this post, and while I actually thoroughly dislike bucket hats, this one is crochet and looks more like a 1920s cloche hat which I do in fact like.
And it would be great in fall.
