Weekly Secondhand Finds XXVII

a collage of different types of women's clothing and accessories. All vintage or secondhand.

It wasn’t intentional, but this week, I gravitated toward a minimalist theme with spring and summer pieces.

I got excited over every piece and wish I had an income and an unlimited cart to add everything to.

For some that were not in my size, I screenshot them to keep in a file that I use to image search items that I am hunting for.

That is one of my tips for you. Reverse image searching can often find what you are looking for.

That, and using the Gem app, are the perfect secondhand shopping duo.

I also wanted to note that most items today are in the $40-$80 US range. The most expensive piece is $120, I believe, but they might be open to offers.

So I am starting with a couple of shirts. Actually, a button-up and a cardigan.

The button-up is listed as from the 80s, and looks to be a linen or linen blend type of fabric. But the best part is the details.

You will probably have to check out the listing to see the collar up close, but it is perfect. The long cuffs as well.

If you like an oversized cardigan as much as I do, then you might like this one. Depending on how tall you are, you could probably wear it as a dress.

Or over denim shorts with some buttons left open in the warmer weather.

The perfect little white, cotton cardigan-ish top. Pair it with a slip skirt and flip flops or slides for a Y2K feel, or distressed jeans, and ballet flats for something ultra modern.

I am a sucker for sweaters with knit rosettes. I don’t know what it is about them, but I always end up going back for another look when I see one.

This grey silk blend cardigan is very Prada (which it is) and would work in most wardrobes.

As you know, I am not a sandal person, but I do love these simple, gladiator-esque minimal pair. One toe strap and some ankle coverage.

Are you in the market for some black flats? Tod’s is a luxury brand known for its quality leather pieces, especially footwear.

Plus, they have a much more comfortable and walkable sole than most ballet flats.

These are a great deal.

Always, always looking for trench coats in the men’s department. The next on my list to find is a black or grey one.

I love the shorter swing length style of this coat, too. More of a car coat style than a trench in my opinion.

Every woman needs one of those LBD one-and-done pieces like this black wrap dress.

You could wear this to so many different occasions, depending on how you accessorize. I love the thicker, almost obi-style wrap that it has, too.

Much more chic than a regular thin cord tie that you see on other wrap dresses.

What I love about this vintage skirt is how high the waist is and the snaps. The pockets, too, look nice and deep.

A midi length, full skirt is my favourite style because I find it to be universally flattering and so easy to wear.

I love it with the cropped tee here, which would be easy to wear because of the high waist. But it would also look great with a tank top in a similar colour to this one, for a monochromatic look.

Large pendant necklaces are so on-trend right now. Especially the Elsa Peretti necklaces and this silver one has a similar vibe for a fraction of the cost.

These pony hair pointed-toe flats almost broke my heart because they won’t fit.

I made the mistake of buying an IT 38 before thinking they were like an EU 38 and they were not.

So I would need an IT 39. But if you are around a 7.5 US, these should fit you. They are glorious.

Something that I don’t see often but have an affinity for is grey leather shoes like these Oxfords.

I also love the beige laces contrast and the little touch of snake print trim.

A brand not to sleep on during your vintage hunts is Anne Klein. Usually, you see watches and jewellery, but don’t pass up the handbags.

The bag may be vintage, but the colour and shape are very modern. Bucket bags are perfect for spring and summer.

Would it be a secondhand finds week if I weren’t sharing something by Furla?

A black leather bag with a great shape and size. You can never go wrong with Furla.

And save the best for last?

The vintage grey sweatshirt of your (my) dreams by Ralph Lauren. Yes, I love RL sweaters, but their sweatshirts are also great.

Seriously though, this is like the perfect oversized sweatshirt and the band isn’t tight across the bottom like most sweatshirts, which makes it easier to wear.

And lastly, these amazing sneakers.

Have you seen Pointy toes sneakers before? If these weren’t way too big, I would have absolutely bought these immediately.

That is it. Sometimes my inner minimalist comes out, and I just want to overhaul my wardrobe in the minimalist aesthetic.

I was making these pieces into outfits the entire time I was putting this together. So many good options.

Anyway, have a great week and see you on Thursday for the capsule, which might also lean towards minimalist since that is where my brain went this week.
