Summer is definitely in the air, making my condo bake at the moment. I can’t wait until the air conditioning gets switched on. But even though it is warm out, I didn’t stick to summer pieces.
That doesn’t mean that I avoided them, even though it is my least favourite season to shop for. It just means I didn’t look with that focus in my mind.
I might next week, though. It will be like a challenge.
But for now, there were just too many multi-season pieces to pass up, although I did find some neat linen pieces that would be perfect for spring and summer.
First up though, are a couple of jackets.
The first is canvas, so it is a great light jacket. I love the moto-esque vibe, but with the peplum, which takes it to the next level.
I am never one to skate past a great 90s leather jacket, and this black style is a great example of a 90s minimalist piece.
I love how it dips in at the waist to give some shape to the silhouette.

I was looking through my shoes today, and I made the mistake of pulling out a box.
They were put in there like a perfectly played Jenga game and I toppled the whole pile onto the floor. I guess it is a good excuse to redo my shoe shelf.
I found some vintage Puma Speedcats in a great colour combo. It is very modern and fresh. I like to share the Speedcats because the vintage models had some great colours.
Next are kitten heel boots by Miu Miu. They have the cutest little studded strap, which makes them not a basic black boot.

Accessories and handbags are a great way to add some colour to a summer wardrobe.
These two are great examples if you like deep, rich colours, or something more vibrant.
The green is Fendi and is a great-sized carryall bag.
I am drawn to this yellow Miu Miu bag. There was a white one like this that I have had my eye on in a consignment shop for ages, but this yellow is something special.

I wanted to cry when I saw that this vintage leather jacket would be too small for me. It’s fantastic and I am envious of whoever ends up grabbing it.
This yellow asymmetrical, semi-sheer top is one of the summer selections. Semi sheer and sheer is hugely trendy right now, and the shape of this top makes it so unique.
It is a great way to participate in a current trend without buying new.

Nothing says summer like a little black shirt dress, but not any shirt dress. This is the kite dress by Rick Owens. And yes, it is shaped like a kite.
If you are seeking interesting-shaped pieces, besides the Rick Owens dress, check out this asymmetrical linen top.
It is very modern, yet minimalist. I love the tail.

And when something is ultra modern and minimalist, sometimes it is fun to pair it with a showstopping piece of jewellery like this 1980s Anne Klein necklace.
It’s so good.
Another way to add some colour? Belts.

I always love a good oxford, and this first pair has a very sleek and feminine shape, which is a fun alternative to the more androgynous styles.
The second is yellow with rows of tiny studs. Really cool and interesting. You get some colour and a bit of edge, so depending on your style words, you can do a lot with these.

I am perpetually on the hunt for vintage suede skirts, and this caught my eye immediately. I love the two-tone, and the different textures of the leather and suede.
A wrap style is a true classic.
Lastly, I found a chain belt with a toggle end. It’s different from other chain belts, and I like the way that this one works.
It looks more like a piece of jewellery than a belt, and that is an impactful yet simple way to dress up your summer wardrobe and make it visually interesting.

So that is it for the night. Now I am going to go lie in front of a fan for a bit.
