Weekly Secondhand Finds XVI

a collage of different types of women's clothing and accessories. All vintage or secondhand.

I feel like I might have been a little all over the place with this week’s vintage finds, but I was also very focused on what I was interested in if that makes sense.

The whole time, I was searching for things that randomly popped into my head, and sometimes, that brought me down rabbit trails that led to other things that caught my attention.

These first two are kind of similar, but also not, since one is more masculine and the other feminine.

There are so many ways that you could wear these pieces like pairing the first jacket with something feminine like a fuller skirt and ballet flats.

While with the second lady cardigan, I would want something more masculine and roughed up like some distressed jeans or baggy trousers, so I look less like a lady who lunches.

Spring is when I start to think about skirts again, and I fell in love with this first asymmetrical brown skirt of awesomeness.

The second skirt is by Miu Miu and is such a lovely shade of purple.

I realized tonight that I actually really like purple but I don’t own anything in the colour.

Vintage jewellery is my weakness and this first necklace reminds me a bit like chainmail which would make is a statement piece for sure.

The little Victorian boot brooch is one of the cutest pins that I have seen. It is really hard to control myself guys.

Spring has almost sprung and I think this first Mansur Gavriel bag is the perfect colour and shape for spring and summer.

It brings me joy.

I love how it can be like a flat little shoulder bag, but also has that tie that can cinch it into a handheld bucket bag which screams spring and summer.

The colour is perfection.

The second bag is a vintage Jackie bag beauty. The shape and colour are so classic and timeless and you would use this bag forever.

Do I like shoes? Yes, very much.

I think shoes might be the way that I express myself as the weather starts to get warmer.

The square-toed, suede pair are vintage Ferragamo and they are listed as very dark blue…so navy I guess although they photograph as black.

They are so unique.

The second is a pair of kitten heel mules by Tibi. Simple, classic, and effortless to wear.

I’m pretty certain that vintage leather jackets are one of the items that I search for the most often.

Do we like a longer, belted version with moto jacket-esque details? Or do we prefer something more fitted with the cutest peplum that is very Alexander McQueen coded?

It is also a steal.

I can’t decide though.

Spring is also a time to sprinkle in some vibrant colours and this vintage Versace blazer is a treat.

The colour isn’t too much which makes it easy to wear, and it would look amazing with the green handbag from above.

We love Khaite, and it can still be pricey on the secondhand market but sometimes you come across a bargain.

You also can’t go wrong with some pointy-toe mules, especially if you are a exposed-toe hater like me.

And lastly my two favourite pieces.

This first one is actually a cardigan, and this Marilyn face is on the back. It is vintage Betsy Johnson in all the Betsey Johnson glory.

The last piece is like the perfect trench. The shape, colour, pattern, and collar are amazing and I am contemplating grabbing it.

These really gave me the thrifting itch tonight. It has actually been a while since I set foot into a physical secondhand store and I think I am due for a visit.

Have a good one.
