This was probably the longest week of my life, and my lack of sleep made it even longer. I’ve just been trying to find things to occupy my brain. I may move on to audiobooks and podcasts next, but I don’t really do either of those.

Not because I think there is anything wrong with them, but because my mind wanders and my internal dialogue often takes over causing me to miss what is being said.

I do better with visual things like video and physical or digital books.

It is a weird thing that I have always battled with. I am the “forget your name immediately after you tell me” person because my internal dialogue was talking over you when you were telling me.

I wonder if there is something I can do to work on that, or if it is too late for me at this age.

And now I am pissed at myself because I accidentally bought spicy KD instead of the sharp cheddar and I am going to eat it anyway because I’m hungry, leading to probable 4am heartburn tonight.
