Yikes, what a day. I don’t even know how to get into it, but it all started with an extremely disappointing provincial election and then we had, what we had today. I no longer have the mental bandwidth to deal.

Yesterday was also the economic blackout. Did you end up participating? I bought nothing, but I did have to pay a bill that was due.

Thankfully my stress shopping has slowed, although this week might light a fire under its ass again.

Although I did manage to get my hands on the Zara shoes I have been stalking.

Every season Zaara seems to have something that ends up being a piece that everyone wants and then it sells out rapidly with minimal restocks.

For me, this was these fringe clogs.

They went so fast and I missed my size. I checked the site every day, multiple times a day for two weeks until a few nights ago I randomly checked at 4 am before going to bed.

Then boom, they had one size 8 left which was probably a return.

I checked out faster than I do during the Zara sale, paid the extra $5 for same-day delivery and had them that evening by 7.

Yes, they are worth the obsessive checking. They will easily be a three season shoe with a casual boho vibe.

Yay to my hyperfixation finally working out in my favour.

Oh, and I bought the Alice in Wonderland duvet cover that I included in this post for my 20-year-old. It’s her favourite Disney movie and she likes fun bedding.
