I am not a big Black Friday person. If anything, I actively go out of my way to avoid shopping at a mall during this weekend. It doesn’t mean that I avoid shopping entirely, but I am more prone to scouring online for secondhand deals than new so I figured this would be a good day to start my secondhand weekly roundup on here.
I usually just post them via Instagram stories, but I know a lot of you don’t go on there, so this is my way of bringing it across all my platforms.
What I do, or at least try to do is have a weekly post of the secondhand items that I came across that week and have saved.
I’m debating is on the title and whether I should use Roman Numerals to number them each week. I also don’t have a designated day for when I will post it.
Sometimes I do them on the weekend, other times when I have a little bit of extra time throughout the week. So consider it a work in progress.
The things I share are often pieces I love and are not in my size, or I truly don’t need versus wanting it.
And since I hate gatekeeping and love supporting small businesses, I like to share them with you, who often appreciate them too.
Most of these retailers do worldwide shipping, unless it is a Poshmark find. But I try to make it as accessible as I can.
I am going to start with two Furla bags. One is a bowler style, the other is a nice blast of colour. I have been talking about Furla for a while, and how it is a brand that you should pay attention to, especially vintage versions.
Furla often have a very classic and minimalist shape, but also they often have similar styles and shapes to very trendy bags at a fraction of the cost.
Vintage Furla is a very affordable option in the secondhand bag market.

I have this thing for clothes with leather accents and here are a few pieces I found this week that have incorporated leather in some way or another.
Like this Ralph Lauren wool skirt with leather waistband which adds a nice contrast against the wool, or the long Tory Burch sweater that has the front button panel as leather and gold-toned buckles that are nice touch.
Two classic pieces that will go a long way in your wardrobe.

The weather has been cooler this week and I was searching for cozy, oversized cardigan which is where I came across this vintage Moschino fuzzy, teddy fur cardigan which I didn’t end up buying.
The green belted, short sleeve jacket isn’t cozy, but it is in the green that I love. I visualize it with a slim fitting turtleneck underneath in a colour or print.
Maybe stripes. It would be very Wicked movie coded.
Every time I see this green I usually slow down and go back to it because there once was a time when you didn’t see this colour very much.
Now I am enjoying it while I can.

Do you get sick of seeing blazers?
I often think, enough is enough, then I come across a real wardrobe enhancer and I change my mind. The first one is colour blocking with leather panels. It gives the illusion of a cinched shape because of the panelling.
The second one is vintage and a lush warm-toned brown corduroy.

I am going to pause here for a moment and mention that I am watching Northern Exposure on Amazon. I forgot about this show and don’t think I have watched it since the 90s.
I sure remember the theme song though.
Next up is some jewellery. Kind of classic, and yet a tad statement-ish. I have been searching for a vintage pearl necklace with multi strands and a large knot in the middle.
In my search I came across this one which caught my eye but leans more refined and classic.
The earrings are Celine and they are a traditional gold hoop with a knot in them giving them a twist on a classic look.

It is not a weekly roundup if there aren’t shoes.
I didn’t realize how much of a shoe person I actually was until recently. I would have a massive collection if I had the money and the space.
These two pairs are a dream though. The first is a Rachel Comey bright red pump with a wooden block heel. It is a great height, and great colour.
The second is a literal dream. I have wanted a pair of these vintage Miu Miu Mary Janes for a long while. The purple lining is delicious but they are a 38. I need a 39 in Miu Miu and I am so sad about it.

A couple more bags to add, the first being a 90s clutch in black leather. You can’t really get more classic looking. The second is a different direction.
It is vintage Miu Miu I believe from the Autumn/Winter 2000 show. I have this bag but in a tweed instead of leather.
Rumour has it that kisslocks are coming back again.

And now for some accessories.
Do you remember Stussy? I was searching for a vintage 90s Stussy sweatshirt and these sunglasses came up in the search. They have a very 90s shape and I kind of love them.
This belt is Gucci-esque with its horse-bit accent in the front but not at Gucci prices. I also like the metal panels around it, it adds a neat detailing if you were to use this to cinch a blazer or coat.
Tip: you should try belting your coat instead of buttoning it, or using the belt it came with. It gives it a completely different vibe which is something we need when we are wearing the same coat day in and day out.

The last few things that I found are some great accessories for winter.
First is a pair of vintage leather gloves with studded detailing. I am a huge winter glove lover, in a fashion kind of way. I like to use them to add to my outfit and these gloves bring a little something extra.
Next is a shoulder brooch and it is so cute I want to cry. I have a panther shoulder brooch and I would actually trade it in for this alligator if I could. His sassy little teeth and grin are right up my alley.
Anyway, shoulder brooches are meant to be worn on the shoulder sort of hanging over, but because of the articulation of the body you could wear them in a bunch of different ways.
Never underestimate the power of a brooch.
I’ll leave you with that little tip that I have shared a billion times.
