My youngest daughter has a weekly art class that I drop her off at, and instead of going home to wait I walk the mall that is nearby to check out the shops.

It is like some alone time with retail therapy.

This week besides the sweatshirt that I included in yesterday’s capsule wardrobe for moms, I also tried on a cardigan at Zara.

I initially went to look at this sweater but after struggling to get it on in the changeroom I decided it wasn’t for me.

I really like the idea of a sweater with a scarf attached but I’m not sure I like it on, it was a little too much work for putting a sweater and I generally like simplicity.

But this cardigan, oh man I was in love when I tried it. I actually went up a size because I like the extra slouchy material when I wrapped it.

It looks more expensive than it is.

It’s a good one and I don’t have any wrap cardigans in this style and since it is not trendy it makes it a good purchase because it will last.

Anyway, there is a cool crispness to the morning air now, and it might be time to start talking about winter because I wouldn’t be surprised if there is some light snow in the next few days.
