I was playing mental games with myself today. You know when you have a list of errands to do, and you know that you can wait until tomorrow, but something in your brain says you have to do it now?

That is the annoying game I was playing with myself today.

Deep down I knew I was being ridiculous even to contemplate going to the mall, but I felt like I needed to go to scratch some stuff off my list this week.

I just wanted to make a stop at The Body Shop for stocking stuffers but geez it was a challenge to convince myself to wait until tomorrow.

It’s like I want to just get everything done as fast as possible so that I can breathe a little for a few days.

Thankfully I kept putting it off until the sun started to set, and while the mall is open until 9, I don’t overly like to walk there in the dark, especially since it is raining and foggy.

Tomorrow is fine.

On another note, I was just taking out the garbage and I had to shove it a little extra hard in the chute, which caused something in the bag to cut my finger pretty good.

I had to nonchalantly walk back to my unit, trying not to drip blood on the hallway carpeting in view of the security cameras.

It was more of a sideways slice than deep down.

Anyway, crazy glued it shut and we are good to go.

Fun fact, many years ago, I think 2005-ish I cut my finger while cooking and sliced really far into the tip. It was like almost flapping off, and we glued it back on then too.

To this day I can’t feel the tip when I press down on it.

I am sure that you enjoyed my gross little story time. Apologies.

Have a great week. And if you have to brave the crowds to finish your shopping, may the odds be ever in your favour.
