I start school tomorrow, or Tuesday. I probably should verify that before I go to bed tonight. It’s making me anxious even though it is all online and I don’t have to deal with in-class stuff. But I have never been a good first day of school kind of person.

Whenever I get stressed or anxious about something I tend to shop. Usually online shop because it is so much easier and there are more options.

Making myself aware of my triggers has given me the ability to direct them somewhat versus stopping entirely. I know that I can’t completely stop because of how easy it is to shop online and the work that I do here on the blog.

That makes it completely unavoidable, but I have restricted my personal shopping to mostly secondhand retailers when I get the urge.

I am trying to focus my searches on Poshmark since there is so much stuff that I can spend a LONG time looking and not actually find anything…which works because it is scratching the itch without having to spend money.

I am also making myself list something to sell on Poshmark every time I buy something. It helps me to keep things more balanced and in perspective.

Right now I am focusing on vintage jewellery, shoes, cashmere sweaters, and things that the girls may like for Christmas.

They like vintage treasures and sometimes you can find some really cool things on there.

Something about secondhand shopping spurs my creativity, and I would really love to have a vintage shop one of these days.

It’s actually one of my dreams although I know not entirely realistic with the cost of any kind of real estate in this area. I can’t imagine what the cost to rent a business space would be.

Due to that, it might have to be one that is primarily focused online, although both kids said that they would work for me happily as long as they got some dibs on new items I brought in 😉

It would be fun to have a family business.

Aside from all of that, the weekend was pretty uneventful and unproductive.

Tom worked, and I attacked the Sisyphus mountain of laundry.

Just when I think I am done, it seems to double in size.

Have a great week, and stay safe.
