As I was this post earlier tonight I saw that Twitter permanently banned Trump’s Twitter account. What an absolutely positive way to end this shit show of a week.
It only took 4 years, but it finally happened.
Did you see my winter essentials post from Wednesday? I am updating the outfits daily at the bottom of the post.
I still haven’t decided whether the blue sweater made the cut, but I guess if I have to think about it, it really shouldn’t be included.
So I’ll need to make the replacement. I’ll have to think about it on the weekend.
What a week. I hope you are feeling well both physically and mentally.
Now I have to go finish my lasagna before bed which I am sure I will regret :/ C’est la vie.
Take care, and stay safe.

I’m disappointed to see your comment about Trump here. It seems like people’s hatred of Trump has blinded them. Why is it ok for Communist leaders to have Twitter access and not the leader of the free world. And did you realize that along with Trump’s purge that Twitter and Facebook have started a massive purge of conservatives including the WalkAway campaign and tons of others. Every American should believe in free speech. Apparently one party rule means there’s no longer a place for conservative voices. This should scare everyone in America.
I’m not American.
If you aren’t American why do you feel
the need to comment about American Politics? Censorship is wrong in a constitutional democracy whether you like someone or not.
a) I’m not sure if you are aware but American politics affect the country I live in. It affects a huge portion of the world actually. The trickle down effect from the last 4 years has been bad. There are literal pro Trump rallies through the downtown core almost every weekend here.
b) because I can.
c) it’s actually not censorship. He broke the terms that you agree to when setting up an account on and international social media site. No one is entitled to having a social media site. He can have an audience to hear what he has to say anytime he wants. He just can’t angry tweet at 3am anymore.
d) and as stated above, you are coming to my page talking about censorship but then feel you have the right to tell me what I can and can’t talk about just because you don’t like it?
e) I’m allowed to feel relief that someone who incites so much hate is having repercussions for their actions.
I didn’t say you could or couldn’t do anything, I asked a question and expressed an opinion.
And while the administration’s policies may not have been good for Canada they have been good for America.
I personally can’t stand the man but that’s irrelevant.
I’m not even talking about the policies that affect Canada. I’m talking about the anger, hatred, and racism.
I speak about it because it is a privilege to have the choice not too. When something like what took place last week happens, I expect people to talk about it.
I am personally appalled that people chose not to mention anything because they want to keep things light. (Which is code for “it doesn’t affect me therefore I don’t care”). That in itself is frightening.
This is way beyond politics.
As an American citizen I’ve been living this for years, escalating in 2020 it didn’t start last week and it didn’t start with President Trump (although he didn’t help). America is split 50/50 right now and it isn’t going to get better with a new President. When one side is punished and the other isn’t it just incites more hostility and anger. The heart of man is where it starts and ends.

Just like you can’t yell fire in a crowded theater, you can’t have the right to incite violence. Trump has 11days and it can’t go fast enough. Love the chambray house shoes Sarah! 💜
Thank you Tamira. We’re counting down the days as well. I also love those house shoes. I think I need something cuter to wear on my feet in here. Mine current pair are really old and definitely not cute 😂
First Amendment:
“CONGRESS shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Twitter is not the United States Congress. It is a private business with their own terms and conditions. He couldn’t follow those terms and conditions and those “Communist leaders” can.
Twitter is not preventing Trump from saying anything. They are simply saying that he can no longer use their service to do so. He can still say whatever he wants, but Twitter don’t have to have it on their site, nor does the rest of the world have to be forced to listen to it. Actions have consequences, even for Presidents.
And quite frankly, for someone so into free speech, you are attempting to police Sara’s on her own website. Your comment is basically “shut up and post outfits”.
*gently sets mic on floor as it is too expensive to wrecklessly drop*
Thanks Traci. You can drop your mic around me anytime.
If you want to watch “The Great” in Canada, it’s on Amazon Prime. It is fantastic!
Is it! Thank you! I know how I’m spending my afternoon and night now 😂
