I hurt my back blow drying my hair this morning. I guess this is a sign of getting old? I pulled something in my shoulder and now I am walking around like Molly Shannon’s character on Seinfeld who doesn’t move her arms when she walks.

Good times.

I’m also watching reaction videos of people on Youtube listening to Tool for the first time.

I’d love to be able to listen to Tool for the first time again.

On a positive note, I don’t have one single Christmas thing left to buy. I managed to get all of the stocking stuffers last night.

I wanted to hit it last night before everyone starts to panic shop in the select few shops that are allowed to be open right now, because as predicted the stores are not reopening on Monday like they initially said they would.

People are going to be going hardcore over the next week :/

Our numbers have actually increased during this lockdown…significantly.

It’s pretty bad.

I can only hope that now that the kids are done school over the next few weeks that the numbers will drop.

Although I won’t hold my breath that people will actually spend the holidays at home vs seeing family.

It only works if everyone puts in the effort. No one is the exception to the rule no matter how special they belive they are.

Sigh.

Stay safe.

  1. Because some parts of the UK will now be in lockdown over Christmas “Christmas in cancelled” and “only 371 sleeps until Christmas” are trending in the UK. I certainly feel sympathy for those spending the day alone, but are people in this country incapable of just spending the day with their immediate family? Like, why do I have to spend the day with my sister-in-law’s in-laws every year?! It is bizarre.

It’s pretty funny there’s a link to a story about Pez. I got my daughter a DC Superhero Girls Pez dispenser to add to her stocking, but it’s been so long since I’ve had them I wasn’t sure if it would be a choking hazard for a four-year-old, so ordered some refills which came today. And now I know I can trust her with Pez.

My favorite song reaction videos are “Won’t Get Fooled Again” by The Who. Especially THAT scream towards the end. The mind blowing delight on people’s faces is just…*chef’s kiss*

    • I saw that! People are so dramatic. Christmas isn’t even close to being cancelled. In fact, ours isn’t affected that much aside from the lack of stores being opened. The behaviour of these people is so selfish and childish. Even my kids understand the importance of staying home so saying childish is an insult to kids because even they seem to get it.

Pez is such a fun gift. We’ve been giving them to the girls since they were young. They have a decent collection of them now. That refill practice run was a brilliant idea though.

I’m going to have to watch those reaction videos. I was watching some Rage Against the Machine reaction videos today and peoples minds were blown. Rightfully so. I can’t imagine never having heard them before.

  2. I got my dad that leg lamp wine stopper after seeing it here! It is the perfect Christmas gift for him. He has an actual leg lamp he put in a window each year because he and my mom love the Christmas story. Thanks for the link!
