SHOP THE POST

I have mentioned it on my instagram, but I haven’t really mentioned it on here. I made a purchase for myself to celebrate my upcoming 40th birthday. It is from an online second-hand retailer that specializes in pre-owned designer bags. It is also local which means no obnoxious exchange rates or extra fees.

I put it on layaway, because let’s be honest. There is no way in hell that I could afford to pay the entire cost up front even though it is pre-owned and substantially cheaper.

I am only mentioning this because I made my last payment today and it feels great. This is my first big purchase for myself, and that is a huge step for me.

I’ll get in to it more when it arrives. To say that I am excited is an understatement.

  1. Congratulations on your exciting new purchase/layaway. Can’t wait to see the photos. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Cheers, Ardith

    • Thanks Ardith. I’m pretty excited because it was a huge mental battle I had with myself about it being okay to spend money on me. I always carry a tremendous amount of guilt thinking I should be putting the money towards other things, but at age 40 (or almost) I think it’s time. 🙂
