Hallelujah the heat finally broke. The fact that we had a heat wave that intense at the very start of summer has me cringing at the thought of what late July and August is going to bring us. The girls and I were Googling what cities we want to move to that are much more temperate and rainy than here. We narrowed it down to Edinburgh because Roo claims that the old part of the city reminds her of Harry Potter. Apparently that is a selling feature 😉 If only it were that easy to just pick up and move to another country (well, at least for us regular people).

My birthday is sneaking up quickly and I am still trying to figure out how I feel about being this close to 40. It feels like 20 was just yesterday. Is 40 the new 20?

  1. Lovely list! I have those Madewell wide leg cropped jeans, and they look great. I am definitely much…um…curvier than the model, so they are part of my “rock the curves” look I’m going for lately. The only issue…how do women sit comfortably for more than 15 minutes in high waisted jeans?! I usually have to undo my high waisted jeans if I’m wearing them to a movie or to eat!

    • I’m glad to hear about the jeans. I’m not curvy so I hope I can make them work like you. The trick to sitting in high waisted jeans is to scoot your butt forward and lean slightly back…..well at least that works for me;) I still like to unbutton after a big meal though.
