Copenhagen is high up in my list of cities that I want to live. It probably ranks in the top 5 if I actually sat down and made a list. Maybe I’ll do that.

This week the packing list comes via a blog comment request. It kind of came at the perfect time as I was organizing my requests and needed one to fill this week while I was working on finishing another one for next.

I never asked (whoops) for how long the trip was so I made this packing list for 14 days in Copenhagen with 18 travel outfit for ideas for what to wear in Scandinavia that are located at the bottom of the post.

The trip is to Sweden, Norway, and Denmark in July when the average temperature of those cities are around 22°C.

I decided that some good items to include would be a couple of t-shirts (I love the colour of this one and it is a silk blend. The other t-shirt is KISS which is my husbands’ favourite band. I actually almost bought this one at Urban Outfitters when I saw it there a few months ago).

Some loose and airy tops (this one from Topshop is on my want list), and a silk camisole which is both sexy, chic, and great for layering.

For bottoms, I included a couple of pairs of jeans because who am I kidding? I will never, not wear jeans. A pair of black culottes and a skirt. A black dress is also included and this one is cute, classy, and very easy to wear.

If you are not a skirt person you could swap for another dress or just take it out completely. I also liked this dress, it was in the running because it is so pretty and romantic looking. It would also look amazing with the leather jacket (I used this leather jacket in last post and loved it so much I used it again).

I didn’t include the pink dress because to really love it I would want to shorten it to more of a midi length since I don’t really like maxi’s.

When I think of Scandinavian fashion I always visualize streamlined simplicity and neutrals so I kind of went with that vibe.

The Zara blazer is a tad on the pricey side but it is one of those damn pieces that I keep going back to every time I visit the site……which if I am being honest is at least once a day 😐  and once again I have added a circle purse because it is my purse du jour right now.

Do you have any items that are perpetually in your online basket but you haven’t made the purchase yet?

This packing list is for two weeks in Scandinavia in summer. All of the visuals in this post are meant as a guideline to aid you in creating your own Scandinavia Packing List based on your own clothing, colour preferences, and personal style.

  1. Sara, you are incredible. I have no idea how you pull these together. We travel a lot and I usually just throw things into my carry on bag and hope that it all somehow transforms into a wearable, cute wardrobe upon arrival (spoiler alert: that never happens!). How do I go about requesting one of these? I’m heading to Lisbon and Paris next month and would love to see what you come up with.

  2. First time commenting, love your style! I make this exact trip every other year or so (to see family) during July and or August. The weather can vary wildly, but mostly I don’t think the leather jacket would be worth carrying if you are trying to travel light (but it looks awesome!). Last time I went it rained the whole time, I was so glad a brought my packable Cole Haan rain jacket so I felt somewhat stylish. The time before it was pretty hot, and I never wore the jeans I packed and I felt very unstylish in my sporty “travel” skirts. Thanks for the post, I’ll be following you.

    • Yes! Thanks for the insight. This is why I always tell people to watch the weather until the day you leave so you can adjust accordingly. I had a friend who packed mostly summer stuff for a trip that took place in the actual middle of summer, and then spent the whole time in her one pair of jeans and sweater she brought “just in case” because it was cold. A lesson learned the hard way I guess 😉
