I decided to try something new this week. I get a lot of people that want to see travel wardrobes on a budget, so I wanted to see if I could put together a cute packing list while staying under a certain price point.

So if you wondering what to pack for Mexico, but with a wardrobe on a budget then this post may be for you.

I decided that $50 was the maximum amount that I wanted any piece in this list to be, and was able to stay under that. Many of the pieces were even under $25.

I know 100% percent what it is like to have to shop within a certain means. To find pieces that you love only to see that they are way out of your price range, and then trying to find something comparable that you can afford.

I tend to be loyal and stay to a handful of stores that I know I can confidently walk in to and never have to worry whether I can actually afford anything.

We have a high-end department store in our mall. Everything is expensive and name brand/designer, and when it first opened I didn’t realize that. I decided to check it out and was enjoying all the great stuff it had when a cardigan caught my eye so I checked it’s price, and it was $800.

Do you know how hard it was to retain a calm, casual, “I can afford this” face? When in reality I became immediately uncomfortable and whispered to Merle that she needs to walk beside me and not even breathe on anything until we leave.

I haven’t been back since because it’s disheartening. That’s my way of saying that I get it.

So today I decided that I would pick a request from a warm-weather destination and do a Mexico packing list. I also put together 15 companion travel outfits from those pieces.

Fifteen outfits aren’t even close to as many options as you can get out of these pieces, so know that it is very versatile with some creativity.

I couldn’t decide which jumpsuit I wanted to include, because this one is super cute and falls under the budget as well.

The hat above is at the higher end because it is a packable hat which can be really useful, but I also have cheaper options (here and here) that will work and can still be packed as long as you stuff the inside of it so it doesn’t get crushed in your suitcase (or you can just wear it).

I put this together so that you can see that you can put have a cute and stylish travel wardrobe on a budget. I hope you found this post helpful.
