Sometimes I like to go back through my packing lists and review them. See how I could have done better, packed lighter, gave more options. I went back to the first packing light list I ever posted on here which was for Dublin, Ireland and saw a lot of room for improvement. While I liked my general selections, I think that I could have chosen less and coordinated more. Life is about seeing where you can improvement right? So I decided it was time for an update.
Dublin is one of my all time favourite places to dream about. One of my most loved book series nicknamed The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning takes place in Dublin and the new book is about to be released on January 19th. To say that I am excited is an understatement, so I am currently rereading them all in preparation. Dublin is old.
It’s name also comes from the Gaelic work dubh linn meaning “black pool” after where the Poddle Stream met the river Liffey to form at pool around Dublin Castle. Vikings settled, then several centuries later the Anglo Normans took over. In 1592 Elizabeth I opened Trinity College (college of the University of Dublin) which is still a running college today. It is one of the seven ancient universities of Britain and Ireland, and is Ireland’s oldest university.
Dublin has an old world charm mixed with modern living. It is world-renowned for its pubs like the Temple Bar District and it’s craic and nightlife. There is lots of history and lots to see, both in and around the city. Dublin is definitely a place that I would like to call home some day.
If you like paranormal books then I recommend reading the Fever Series. It is one of those series that you need to make sure you have the next book before you finish the previous one because you will want to start reading it right away.

New Year, New Goals – Happy 2016
The kids stayed up really late last night ringing in the New Year while drinking Dryck Bubbel Parron (Sparkling Pear Drink) from Ikea so they slept in pretty late today. I got a few blissful hours of quiet this morning and was able to drink several caffeinated drinks and do some online shopping. I was searching for some spring wardrobe inspiration and bought a couple of pieces from Zara that should be arriving soon. I could easily walk down the street and shop in a brick and mortar Zara but what fun would online shopping be if you didn’t buy anything? Continue Reading
