This one is going to be quick. It popped in my head while I was in the shower this morning listening to Spotify 80’s Smash Hits Playlist. Nothing starts the morning off like a little Bette Davis Eyes with Dancing on the Ceiling thrown in. It’s nice to be able to shower with the door closed now since Roo is older and I can depend on her to notify me if her sister is doing bad shit. Continue Reading →
It feels like Friday but it is only Thursday night. The week is dragging. The weather has been around the mid teens which is my ideal temperature. Perfect for jeans and a light sweater to go out in without worrying that you are going to die from heat prostration. Merle doesn’t do well with heat or humidity. Her face turns pink within minutes and she sweats profusely and starts to complain, so if the temps could stay at this level all summer I would be grateful. I hate when the heat and humidity is so high that they warn you not to go out unless you really have to, so we are enjoying the calm before the storm. Which in this case refers to the bloody high humidity in the summer. I have the balcony doors open, the central air is off and I can feel a cooler temperature drop in preparation to the rain that is coming tonight and tomorrow. I love rain. I love thunderstorms more but it seems we haven’t had a good one in a long while. I think we are due.
The week isn’t quite over yet but we had some fun stuff that arrived in the mail already.
Friendship and loyalty is a big thing for me, but I’m a hard person to get to know. I realize this. It’s a combination of things that make it so difficult for me to let people in and for people to want to be let in. Most people don’t want invest the time or make assumptions of a first impression and never want to delve further. I don’t really blame them because first impressions are a huge deal. I am quite introverted so I am not really great at small talk, but I listen really well. I find that I usually avoid joining a conversation until I have something important to add which people read as being stuck up. I also have a Resting Bitch Face and that doesn’t help my cause much either. Continue Reading →
This was the obligatory mother-daughter elevator selfie when we were on our way to run errands. It was a lot cooler yesterday and really rainy so we busted out our matching rain boots. And this is why I chose to have rain boots in my capsule wardrobe instead of a pair of heels. I get more use out of these. Continue Reading →
No I didn’t mean to pidgeon toe (I actually hate pidgin toe poses), and yes I noticed the pole that looks like it is coming out of my ass 😉
I am going to let you in on a little secret of mine. It’s not like a huge secret or anything but it can be embarrassing at times. I have a large head. So large that sometimes I have to buy men’s hats to get a proper fit. So in the above photo I am wearing a man’s hat from H&M. I snuck over to the men’s side and grabbed one quickly before sneaking back to the women’s side to try it on. It wasn’t so obvious that way. Continue Reading →
See if you can spot the Chipmunk/Chipmunks in each of these photos. They are inseparable. God help us if he goes missing because we have had a close call and it was a nightmare. (This photo montage applies to number 2 below) Continue Reading →
