SHOP THE POST
As you know I normally do wardrobes for women (generally women in their 30’s) because that is obviously what I know, but occasionally I get asked for recommendations for the slightly older crowd, younger, and in this case both younger and male 😉 This packing list is for boys and the 8-preteen age but is easily adaptable for younger and older.
Both my kids are girls but my oldest doesn’t really fall in to the “typical” tween wear. She is in to graphic tees, jeans, plaids, army coats, and lots and lots of sneakers. I figured since this is a pretty unisex style that I would steals some of the elements of what she would pack for herself. Except she would pick probably one pair of converse, one Adidas, and one vans. Or maybe even converse in three different colours. She won’t wear sandals ever not matter how hard I try. So obviously go with your child’s taste, not your own packing ideals otherwise they might be uncomfortable if you bring something they do not usually wear.
While in my last post which was the girls edition of this post I mentioned how my youngest is a dirt magnet so bring extra. While my oldest can literally wear the same shirt for days on end to the point you have to steal it from her so you can wash it. This child could probably get away with bringing less 😉 Either way between the two it balances out.
In tomorrow’s post I put together some ideas of what you can bring children of differing ages in their personal items bag (backpack) to keep them entertained and comfortable on the plane.
At the bottom of this post I included 24 outfit options (12 on each collage) of outfit suggestions for the packing list at the top. I hope between these two kids posts you get some ideas of what you can pack.
