I am about to embark on the adventure of watching Masters of the Universe. I am sure it is super cheesy, but sometimes that brings some charm. No expectations, I am just going to enjoy the modern twist to nostalgia.
Last night’s Cabinet of Curiosities wardrobe post was probably the one that I enjoyed writing the most. It was a weird week of reflection and inspiration, and that was the result.
I know that I constantly preach about the Gap cotton sweaters, but the brown one that I bought last fall is back this fall, but still no navy for Canada. The U.S. site has A LOT more colour variations.
Also, the poplin pyjama shirt that I included in the roundup…I would wear that as a shirt, not to bed. I think Gap is strongest when it uses natural fibres.
I am currently playing catch-up on my outfits on Instagram. Once again, I lacked motivation this week to post in real time.
Currently looking for budget dinner meal ideas that I can toss into the mix. My youngest is soooo picky, making it really hard to try new things.
Plus the price of groceries is insane, so I can’t even try to gamble with too many new things just in case no one likes it, and it’s wasted. The economy sucks.
Also, the tiger bath mat that my youngest uses as her bedside rug is back in stock. It is such a fun rug.
When the guys came in to do the venit/coil maintencae, they kept commenting how much stuff we have.
Honestly, it is embarrassing at this point because I literally had things shoved into every available spot to hide some of the clutter, so it was actually less cluttered than usual.
So I have been trying to come up with better storage solutions for us. Shoes are a big problem though because we have a small front hallway with a million pairs of shoes,
I was thinking some kind of enclosed shelf so it looks nice versus open shelving with stacks of dirty shoes.
The available wall space is small too, so I had to search by width on Wayfair Canada because you can narrow your search down on there to really specific details.
Plus, they are currently having a big sale, which makes it significantly cheaper than my other choices, even Amazon is expensive. This is the one that I narrowed it down to.
But this one is nice too. Possibly even more so because I like the contrasting rattan panel.
They look good, are small enough and thin enough, yet hold a lot. Since it would be near the laundry room door, it needs to be thinner than regular shelves; otherwise, it will block proper access.
Figuring out storage solutions for a small space has been a long time coming. Stay tuned for more once I figure out some reasonable options. Sigh, being a grown up sucks.
