Weekly Secondhand Finds (Vol. LXXXVI)

A white background with a collection of 24 finds from the past week.

Why do I procrastinate so? I found out three weeks ago that the people who do the vent/air conditioning yearly maintenance will be doing our floor on Friday, so I have had that long to get prepared.

But no, what did I do? I kept putting it off, and now it’s almost here, and I am panicking. I do this every year.

So much stuff to put away and move around so that they have easy access, and now I am going to be panic cleaning for the next two days.

I really hate this part of my personality.

Anyway, I didn’t procrastinate this post, though. I actually had most of it done last night, but I wanted to get some stuff listed on Poshmark before I finished it.

No themes, but I was looking more for some statement pieces for fall.

I am also on a stripes kick, so let’s start with this vintage black and white striped Ralph Lauren sweater in 100% cotton. Always one of the things that I search for secondhand.

A striped one is actually on my list. I am looking for a bright blue with a cobalt stripe, though. I actually found one a long while back and ordered it, but then the Canada Post strikes happened, and the seller cancelled my order.

I have yet to find another.

This adidas windbreaker is actually reversible, and I love it. The other side is a dark purple which I think we are going to be seeing a lot more of in the coming months.

Do you like Lucite as much as I do?

This vintage tiger brooch is lucite, and it is giving me very strong Art Deco vibes. I have another Lucite piece a bit further down.

This 1960s clutch caught my eye last week, but I had already put together the post, so I saved it for this one.

The colours, pattern and shape also give me Art Deco vibes, which is why I paired these two in a set.

Vintage graphic tees make my world go round. And the more worn in, the better.

All these years of wearing graphic tees, growing up as a teen in the 90s heavily influenced by skateboard culture, and actually being a manager in a skateboard shop in the early 00s, all that and I have never had a Vans Off the Wall tee.

That should be rectified.

This ringer tee is from the 70s (I think) and is paper thin, just the way I love them.

Here is the other Lucite piece, and it is in my favourite colour. A beautiful, vintage statement necklace.

I feel like it is time to bring back the 90s backpacks.

They are all over the secondhand sites, and I always want to get one, like this vintage DKNY.

Every wardrobe needs a bit of neon. And one of my favourite pairings is neon mixed with neutrals like these Manolos paired with camel, grey, or navy.

The contrast gives such good friction.

These Gucci suede mules are like the epitome of the perfect fall shoe. Look how awesome these are.

Dude. Both these jackets, but I don’t have the money to get them, and I want to cry.

First is this Roberto Cavalli wool jacket with I believe is silk lining. Check out the listing to see it on a clothing form so you can get a better idea of the fit and how epic this one is.

The shape is to die for.

I’m not going to lie, I was originally sucked in by the top hat. But the jacket…the graffiti and the tutu-ish peplum.

What an iconic piece.

Vintage Sonia Rykiel for the win with this very on-trend zebra print blazer. Pair it with the neon flats.

This grafitti/paint dress is incredible. It reminds me of an art smock, and I would wear it as a shirt or tunic.

But check out the buttons around the collar.

Also in the realm of bring back 90s backpacks, how about the Y2K sling bag? This red one caught my eye, but so did this vintage Diesel, which apparently caught a lot of eyes because it is in a lot of carts.

Maybe I am on to something with this backpack thing?

And lastly we have the deal of the day with these vintage trousers from Miu Miu. They are a classic, almost chino style in a chocolate brown for only $20.

Seriously, cheaper than what you see at the thrift store, and you know that they would have these behind the counter and be charging $160.

That is it, friends. My anxiety is in full tilt today for some reason, so I am going to try and calm down, then do some more listing.

I should be cleaning, but we know that I won’t. I also have to brainstorm some ideas for Thursday’s wardrobe post because I am kind of uninspired at the moment.

Plus stores are in the weird in-between stage, and selection is kind of abysmal.

Anyway, take care of yourselves.
