While this week seemed to go by really fast, there was one day in there that felt like the longest day ever. Over the last 1-2 years, time has felt really fast, and I don’t like it.
Earlier this week, I had some inspiration to make a mini series here for summer capsules.
It will only have three parts, but it is focused on the stages of letting go of the baggage we have accumulated for dressing and fashion in regard to performance.
Part one is The Refined Dirtbag, which was fun to write. I find that I learn new stuff about myself with some of the posts as well. I had a few revelations.
I shared a navy blue midi silk slip dress in this capsule wardrobe, because I really love the softness of navy versus the traditional black we always see. It’s a nice change.
But then, I just saw this one in a maxi length, and the colour screams my name. It’s so good. This colour looks really good on me, if I do say so myself.
I’m really loving how the 90s coming back, is making it easier to find my favourite 90s styles in so many colours that we didn’t have. I’m also feeling this polka dot silk skirt.
My preference is always mid-calf to full ankle-length, versus knee-length. Although I do like a slightly below-the-knee Bermuda, which was shocking to me.
Last time I went thrifting, I found a silk slip skirt, and they wanted $70 for it and it needed a zipper repair.
This shit is getting ridiculous.
