There is some kind of chaos going on somewhere nearby because I can hear a lot of sirens and see flashing lights. It is probably a fire.
There seems to be an increase in false and legitimate fires around here lately. A few weeks ago, there was one on the balcony of the building across from me. ‘Tis the season?
I actually think a lot of it instances come from people who are renting units as Airbnbs, because they seem to either not know the rules, or don’t give a shit about tossing their lit cigarettes off balconies.
The wind then takes them and lets them fall onto someone else’s balcony, and depending what they have on there, it is a potential fire in the making.
I had to remove the balcony rug that I had because I saw that it had some cigarettes blowing around on it and on closer examination, there were melting scorch marks.
Yeah, I got rid of that thing fast, because I am not taking chances with other people’s stupidity.
On a positive note, it is my youngest’s birthday this week and my baby becomes a teenager. So crazy.
The Adidas Sambas came out with a few new colourways and I bought one. Honestly, while I don’t need a new pair of sneakers, I have been looking for a brown pair that I like.
Then boom, someone shared them with me via DM because she kindly thought that I would appreciate them. I did, and thank you.
So I grabbed them. The colour I picked was chocolate brown with “preloved yellow” stripes. They have such a 70s retro feel to me and don’t even really look like Sambas.
They arrived on Friday and I love them. For what it is worth, when I order Adidas that are unisex styles, I find the size listings to be accurate.
I generally wear an 8 (8.5 leaning) lady’s shoe and get 7 men’s. I’ve never had an issue with fit following their chart.
If you have a wide foot, than you might want to try an extra 1/2 larger.
