I could go for a snowstorm after the almost 25-degree day we had today. I am sweating my ass off right now, and it is 10 pm on Nov. 3rd, and I have the windows and balcony door wide open.
But climate change isn’t real, apparently.
I am also probably sweating because I have voting anxiety with the US primaries. My fingers are crossed for you guys.
So what does one do when they are sweating and have anxiety? Shop for cool secondhand pieces that scream, “I am a badass”.
Like this red faux fur jacket, I need a red jacket.
And if you don’t like faux fur and want something a bit longer, how about red leather? It is very minimal in style, but the colour is magnificent.

Umm, hello beautiful. Seriously though, Marni is predicted to have a moment, and this tiger-striped cardigan is showing you why.
It is so interesting, and this is bloody fantastic. Pair it with dress pants and a t-shirt and you have the coolest business casual look.
There is a shit ton of other looks, but I was thinking how fun it would be to wear at an office since it is so non-office wear.
How about a chartreuse green duster? It doesn’t have front closures, but you could belt it or keep it closed with a large brooch.

I have a funnel neck obsession, so when I saw this Y2K denim jacket I gasped. I would wear this as a shirt if I am being honest.
It is just too good.
This forest/bottle green bag caught my eye immediately. Not just for the large size and the amazing colour, but those little cut-out pieces that almost look like scales.
It is a very cool bag.
This golden green one with the wooden handle would be so good for spring. It is in beautiful condition.
But my favourite is the zebra print slouchy bag. It is so Y2K and I want it for myself. It almost has a large bucket bag vibe.

These shoes are one of those instances of “the photos are kind of shitty, so you can tell it is probably awesome”. They are a calf hair and patent leather block-heeled loafer-style shoe, and they are fabulous.
And I guess I am having an animal print partial theme tonight because I just realised how many animal print pieces I picked.
Like this snake print belted leather blazer.

Or this blue snake print semi-sheer silk blouse. This one is a dream.
This black vintage Danier jacket reminds me of the one I have. It seems almost identical, which is funny because Danier is famous for their million different styles of leather jackets.
It is rare to see the same one multiple times. But vintage Danier is excellent, so if you are looking for great vintage leather jackets, take a scroll through the Danier selection.
It is a Canadian brand, so it might not be as prevalent in the US as it is here, but it will definitely be available.

As I am sweating, I am also suggesting red leather gloves for your winter accessories, and this red is vibrant.
Not a deep red but a true scarlet. They are awesome.
Vintage Ralph Lauren wool trousers are like a holy grail item for me, and these are lovely. They are a wool and cashmere blend and are a 38 waist and 28 inseam.
And if you prefer brown, I found another vintage Ralph Lauren wool cashmere blend in a 38 with a 28 inseam. You will never regret these.

Fun fact: I love fish.
My parents doted on my animal-loving obsessions, and I had some fish that lived for like 4 years.
Michael Angelo, Donatello, Kringle, and Snowflake. I also had a cool one called Moby Dick, but he didn’t live very long 🙁 So I would love this vintage fish brooch.
As I have talked about, cummerbunds are in right now, but you can get the same kind of look with thick 80s-style waist belts like this one. I love the blue, and the black swirls are snake print.
It has snap closures, and it is adjustable, with the maximum length being 36″.

And that is it, friends.
I can hear some fireworks being set off, and I don’t know if it is practising for Diwali celebrations or if it is celebrating some US victories.
Maybe a bit of both.
