Weekly Secondhand Finds (Vol. XC)

A white background with a collection of 24 finds from the past week.

Every week I say there isn’t a theme, but this week I can say for certain that there is. I was/am feeling very nostalgic for the simplicity of the early 90s and found myself gravitating to pieces from that time.

I saw this post on Instagram, and it really hit home how good we used to have it, and how we took it for granted. Now today I would give a lot to have that again.

And those vintage red Chanel flats are going onto my wishlist even though I will probably never find them, and if I do, I will never be able to afford them. They are glorious though.

First off is this cobalt blue trench coat, which is amazing. As a former cobalt blue hater, I am all about it now. It is a great choice if you are tired of traditional tan trench coats.

Next is a vintage leather jacket that I believe was military. It is in great condition and looks so modern. I also believe it is a men’s medium, which would be a women’s large-ish.

Doesn’t this jacket just scream early 90s?

Imagine it paired with the worn-in Levi’s and Chanel flats from the Instagram post I shared. I am thinking simplicity with the jacket, jeans, and flats, yet it feels anything but simple.

Then there are some vintage red leather gloves which would look great paired with that blue trench, but also with neutrals as a standout piece.

This Moschino yellow silk dress is so perfect for so many occasions. I am trying to find pieces that would do multiple jobs in your wardrobe.

Less is more.

This grey suede jacket caught my eye immediately. I think it might be my favourite piece of the post. It calls my name, but my bank account says otherwise.

I absolutely love this snake print jacket.

I found it in two places, the same price by the same seller. First is on Poshmark, which I often find has more wiggle room for bartering, but if you are outside the US, then I also found it on eBay.

Then we have the perfect little brown bootie. They are so great.

While I am open to any and all vintage Ralph Lauren sweaters, I really do prefer the cotton ones, especially if they come in a fantastic colour like this. How lush is this green?

These boots are amazing. Actually, this person’s entire Etsy store was full of amazing things from the 80s and 90s, especially shoes.

I could have easily made this whole post with picks from that shop so if you are checking out these boots, then click on the store name to see all the other great stuff they have.

The boots are listed as green, but I think it is more of a khaki brown kind of green.

Tom Ford era Gucci is my favourite, and these boots are from that time. They remind me of my 90s brown boots with the pointed toe.

This style slides up so easily under jeans.

This brown fringe bucket bag is probably one of the best examples of a fringe bucket bag that I have seen.

The contrast between these two browns is beautiful.

Vintage 90s Anne Klein is always a good choice, like this trench. I believe it is an XL and a fantastic deal.

Another week, another pair of vintage Gap leather pants.

I’m going to have to get myself a pair someday. I want them in burgundy.

This handbag caught my eye because I love a good studded piece. I also love the retro style on a modern bag.

And lastly, this velvet jacket with frog buttons is from 1994. It feels very 1994 to me, which just so happens to be my favourite year, and the best year in music (according to studies).

But this piece is iconic. Also pair it with the vintage denim and flats.

I am starting to sense another theme here. Beautiful jackets with worn-in jeans.

And that is it for this week.

Is anyone else feeling this strong sense of nostalgia for this time?
