I went into a store today, and I saw my first pair of leather pants of the season. At that moment, it was like the sky opened up and the angels started to sing Hallelujah, and I am so here for it.

No shopping time excites me more than the changeover to fall. I even wrote about this time of year in last night’s capsule post in which I am pining after the green sweater and green shoes because they are my favourite colour and they would integrate so well into my wardrobe.

Not that I don’t already have a green sweater or two, but I am a sucker for the 100% cotton ones.

I saw a raincoat that I wanted too, but I currently have no disposable income. It’s also pricier than I would normally want, but it checked the boxes of what I have been looking for this past year.

The green was the colour I liked, in person, it is not army green like it photographs on the site, it is a much better green.

I walk a lot, all year long, and it can get really windy, which makes umbrellas sometimes unusable.

The tall buildings can make wind vortexes, and it’s not pleasant to walk through while the rain is pelting, and you have no protection

So yes, a long, hooded raincoat is a necessary piece of outerwear here.

The air quality is obviously quite bad right now, and I have been trying to avoid going out in it, even though my apartment smells like campfire, so I am sure the air quality is almost as bad in here.

Up north, they got some rain today, and it is supposed to rain overnight/tomorrow, so hopefully that helps with the fires. And hopefully there is no lightning.

It is truly devastating.

Welcome to Toronto, World Capital of the Urban Raccoon. I love raccoons, and the fact that they have evolved to become cuter to appeal to humans is awesome. I want them to domesticate themselves like foxes are trying to. I could get on board with a fox and a raccoon living here.
