There is a shift in the weather, and it is supposed to rain for the next few days, so of course, that means I get a migraine. Last night was so bad that all I could do was put myself to bed and hope it was gone by the morning.
And while it was mostly better, it is still hovering; it is just not incapacitating me. I wish I knew the magic trick to get rid of these weather headaches/migraines.
Anyway, I managed to finish, although Etsy was frustrating me. Apparently, I was browsing too fast, and it would keep giving me 429 errors, which are a temporary block on my IP due to too much clicking or browsing too fast.
Even when I dramatically slowed it down, it would suddenly do it, so they need to loosen that up a bit because some people shop fast.
I also have a bonus set for you guys tonight because I couldn’t narrow it down. It’s a very statement piece themed post, so let’s start.
First is a Levi’s graphic tee that appears to be vintage based on the tag. And then we have the first statement piece of the night, which is a star print, cropped, vintage blazer-esque jacket.

I love the multi coloured animal prints on this vintage belt. It is actually quite a statement piece on its own.
It would be great for summer to make an outfit more interesting.
Then there are some bright blue vintage Puma ballet flats. Very Y2K.

This vintage bomber jacket is pricey, but I had to share because it is a beauty. With the bird print on the back, and the bishop sleeves, it’s fantastic.
I am not sure if this cropped shirt with wraps is supposed to be a shirt on its own, but I would absolutely use this as a layering piece.
Over tees, tanks, or camis, but also over a slip dress or other slim-fitting summer dresses.
This would also fall under the statement category.

How about a large snake print hobo-style bag? It’s a good deal.
I love button-ups with interesting prints like this alligator print one. I have striped button up with the drawing of a rabbit across the front.

When I find Blumarine pieces that are not ridiculously overpriced, I like to share them, like these snake print shorts.
Blumarine is one of those secondhand shopping gems if you can find it.
These mixed media shorts are nothing but amazing. They have a boxer short style and are like a satin, velvet, floral, and fringe mixture.

While I am usually not a vest fan, I love the oversized, deconstructed style of this one from Maison Margiela. It is marked as vintage and is priced in a reasonable range for a vintage Margiela piece.
The next statement piece is this beautiful green velvet blazer.
Check out the lining, it is the Mona Lisa.

I love fish. I love animals in general, but I have a soft spot for fish, and I really like this brooch. I am trying to amass a collection of animal brooches for myself.
This Armani bag looks like it would be tote size, but it is more of a shoulder bag size in embossed leather.
I love the deceptive simplicity of it.

While we all know by now my love of graphic tees, do you also know that I love a good graphic sweatshirt?
Like this vintage Puma one is an awesome colour.
Run, don’t walk, because these vintage Frye boots were the find of the night.

These last two statement coats are my bonus set of the evening. I saw them and had to share.
The whole colourful abstract floral print vibe of this first coat is what caught my eye.
The pinks, yellows, and greens with the abstract swirls and flowers are truly a statement.
The red one is silk with beading and gives me all the Dries Van Noten vibes. It’s my favourite find tonight besides the Frye boots.

That’s it, friends.
I hope that you found yourself a statement piece or two, or were at least inspired to seek some out on your own.
A few statement pieces really make your wardrobe.
