Weekly Secondhand Finds (Vol. LXXV)

A white background with a collection of 24 finds from the past week.

I made the realisation tonight that I now live in a world where Hurley and Roxy are considered vintage. I remember painstakingly folding and refolding those t-shirts when people would rifle through my freshly folded pile back in my skateboard shop working era.

So that was a sobering thought.

It was when I was searching through vintage tees, and I kept scrolling past all the actual tees that I used to sell. It kind of breaks my heart.

But it did make me want to get a t-shirt folder because it was fun, and I’d love to have my stuff organised like that.

On a funny note, I came across this t-shirt of The Fonz, which is both terrifying and hilarious.

First up, I found these awesome Roberto Cavalli Bermuda-length trouser shorts. I love the shape of them and want to give them a try. I think I could do a lot with them.

Vintage Prada Sport sneakers?

These are so modern looking with the Adidas-esque vibe and the velcro straps.

These Ralph Lauren vintage trousers are like the epitome of the perfect pair of pants.

They have everything that I look for in a trouser, and I am pretty sure they would fit me the way I like my pants to fit.

I love vintage letterman-style jackets, and this one with the leather sleeves is pretty badass. This grey-blue colour is my favourite shade of blue.

What drew my eye to this vintage Prada skirt was actually the small bit of colour contrast from the leather trim (I think it’s leather), and the small red rectangle that says Prada.

The back of it also has a coloured panel where the zipper is. It has a deceptive simplicity.

A few months ago, I was talking about the Roberta Di Camerino vintage trompe l’oeil bags, and tonight I came across this clear tote, which caught my attention because I like a good waterproof bag and this one is so interesting.

Wilson’s leather makes some pretty incredible pieces. I have mostly come across their leather jackets, which always catch my eye, but these snake print flared pants are so good.

I had a pair like this in the late 90s from Le Chateau, and I loved them so much.

I’m not going to lie, I want these pony hair red animal print ballet flats from Jil Sander.

They are amazing, but they are on Pohmark US, which is a bummer to me since I can’t shop there. You guys have so much good stuff on there.

I would spend so much time on Poshmark if ours were comparable.

I am seeing fast fashion versions of these hardshell clutch bags everywhere at the moment, but you should go for the real deal when the price is pretty much the same.

This shell shape is so pretty.

I adore a good mixed media piece like this vintage Helmut Lang jacket. The sleeves are leather, but I think the body is a cotton or cotton blend. The description isn’t very detailed which is so annoying.

I also really love red and camel or taupe together. It is a killer combination.

Vintage graphic tees for life. They always make my favourite outfits, and this Powell’s books is one that I would seek out in a thrift store.

90s Moschino is a world that I want to live in, which is where this giraffe print bag is from.

Try out an animal print that isn’t your typical print for something different.

I came across these vintage Puma boxer-style sneakers and got a small, excited thrill. The colour combination with the green puma on the side, and the mesh inserts are perfection.

These are awesome shoes.

A 1980s brooch that looks like it’s from the Art Deco era. It also kind of reminds me of a planet or a spaceship.

I think we need to bring back the leather 90s style backpacks like this amazing foldover one. We lived in backpacks in the 90s, and they were so handy.

And lastly, we have a knit shrug from Paloma Wool in this fantastically bright red.

A shrug is so easy to wear, especially if you aren’t a fan of sleeveless things. Like I love the lace camisoles, but don’t like to wear them solo, so in this instance a shrug like this is a fantastic solution.

That is the roundup for tonight, friends.

Sorry for the lateness. I usually get this out early, but I ended up getting a really late start to this post.

Take care of yourselves.
